Word-Faith Movement

Reasons to Reject
WORD-FAITH Teachings

Positive Confession arrived in this country, supposedly transforming dead churches. BUT, this movement that became so popular, soon revealed its true nature . . . a CULT with such extremes of ungodly belief that brings the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ into disrepute. The roots of the Word-faith doctrine is firmly planted in the soil of the metaphysical cults, NOT the Bible! The same errors that produced New Thought and Christian Science also behind Word-Faith as a Christian version.

Everything about Word-Faith ministries should be questioned by serious Christians. Just how real and sound is the basic teaching that new converts will receive? Check it out my friend BEFORE you leap into the fire! Is there really a need for pastors to live in great luxury? We are to imitate Jesus! He did not even have a place to lay His Head (Mat.8:20) . . . Jesus was poor! The Bible tells us to be content with what god has given us, NOT to lust after riches. See: Filthy Rich Preachers

Mat.6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: [20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: [21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (KJV)

1 Tim.6:8-11 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. [9] But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. [10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. [11] But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. (KJV)

Heb.13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)

The final goal of Word-faith ministries must ALWAYS be examined in the light of Scripture. Are we really witnessing a global awakening that will transform all nations and bring wealth and success to all the Church? Or is it a Satanic delusion that will trap thousands of well-meaning believers? Is it a trap of the New Age,which eventually will set up a worldwide kingdom for the Antichrist? BEWARE!!!

Some Reasons for Rejecting Word-Faith Doctrine.

#1 They make Almighty God a weak 'faith-being' who is at the mercy of His own universal laws. Even though Word-Faith ministers speak of God in a personal way, they treat Him like an impersonal 'energy source' with 'forces' that can be operated by the use of laws . . . laws which even God has to obey in order to create and run His Universe. They say that God has left the control of the planet in man's hands and He is powerless to intervene without a covenant partner. God's omnipotence and sovereignty is blasphemed by these heresies.

#2 They say that the Divine Son of God, Jesus, was born-again so that He could die in Hell to pay the price for our treason. Christ Jesus, according to Word-Faith heresy, set aside His divine powers and walked the Earth as a mere man filled with The Spirit. He had to use the Word and the laws of faith to do miracles. Word-faith heresy teaches that when He died, His Blood did NOT atone, so He had to take upon Himself the very sin-nature of the Devil, causing His spirit to die, and suffer three days and nights in Hell's torment AS A MAN before the Father gave the command for Him to be re-created as a re-born man. What absolute stupidity! My friend, Jesus is GOD! Always has been God!

John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God.  (KJV) John 10:30 I and my Father are one. (KJV) . . . A few Scriptures follow that refer to Jesus' eternal nature: (John 8:58; Col.1:17; Heb.1:1-13; 13:8; 1 Pet.1:20). And further more, His precious Blood most certainly DID atone for our sins (1 Pet.1:18-19; Mat.26:28; Rom.3:25; 5:1,9,11; Eph.1:7; Col.1:14,20).

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.(KJV) . . . Jesus Himself said: It is finished”. His sufferings were now fulfilled. His Work of salvation done! All the prophecies of the Old Testament, which pointed to the sufferings of the Messiah, were accomplished. The ceremonial law was abolished; Jesus had come, all the shadows were done away with. An end is made of transgression by bringing in an everlasting righteousness. His sufferings were now finished, both those of His soul, and those of His body. “It is finished” the work of mankind’s redemption and salvation is now completed. Jesus’ life was not taken from Him by force, but freely given up.

#3 It elevates man to equality with Jesus. An end result of the 'Jesus-died-spiritually' heresy is that all born-again Christians stand in the same place of power and authority as Jesus. The more I read about these absurd blasphemies of Word-faith heresies, the sicker I become! Does this really mean that we have already been resurrected from the dead and it only remains for us to gain 'knowledge' of our new condition? How utterly ridiculous! We are NOT spiritual gods on this Earth! We CANNOT rule circumstances and do miracles like Jesus did! Word-Faith teaches that believers do NOT depend on God's power, do NOT submit to His will, but have the right to develop our own powers.

#4 It makes the redemption into a restoration of dominion for mankind. Word-Faith teachers say that the loss of dominion over the Earth, NOT sin, is the problem. So, salvation simply becomes a matter of re-discovering your place of godhood and learning to rule as kings on Earth. The only role Jesus played in redemption was that of a substitute Adam, coming to Earth to fulfill all that Adam failed to do, indicating the possibilities of dominion, and then taking Adam's place in Hell to let mankind 'off the hook'. The worship given to Jesus by Word-of-Faith believers is more from a sense of gratitude than a recognition of His divinity. They miss the whole point of redemption: that Jesus HIMSELF is the Life and Salvation of mankind and that the only way we cane be saved is believing in Him.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV)

#5 It replaces prayer with confession, and God's will with the manipulation of 'forces'. Word-Faith teaches Christians to draw upon powerful 'forces' that reside in the human spirit . . . the force of faith . . . to bring certain laws into operation. They emphasise the word . . . NOT Jesus, the Son of God, but the Scriptures . . . as the power to manipulate these spiritual laws. Confessing the Word continually is the method used to get anything we want. This is a self-rule and it leads to pride, lust and greed. A TRUE Christian must deny himself (Mat.16:24), and submit to the entire will of God, as revealed by the Holy Spirit of God.

#6 It denies the reality of sin, sickness and pain. Word-Faith teaches that the only true reality is spiritual, and the physical senses are deceiving. So, Word-faith followers are taught to deny that they are sick, or poor or in any way below normal. They are taught to overcome adversity by confessing a suitable 'positive' Scripture INSTEAD of seeking God's guidance and will for them. The reality of sin, and the need for forgiveness is polished over by teaching that a simple confession of the Lordship of Jesus will result in a change of lifestyle. My friend, people have always been sick, always been poor and seeking God's will in your life is the answer . . . NOT Word-faith heresies!

#7 It focuses on self and the world instead of God and Heaven. Word-Faith heresy is all about success, prosperity, advancement, gain, health and strength. There is little or no compassion for those who fail to come up to these demanding standards. Any adversity is said to be a 'lack of faith' to confess the right Word. They greatly misunderstand of the wisdom of God, and His plan to bring His children to glory. IF we refuse to share in the trials, setbacks and persecutions of Jesus, we are not ready to share His glorification. Rom. 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  (KJV) . . . Word-Faith teachers bring the Name and the cause of Jesus Christ into disrepute. Emphasising prosperity ends up in greed, conning believers into giving money they can little afford. Over-emphasised God's healing has led to extravagant claims for miracles that have been exposed as a sham. Heresies about man's godhood and superhuman abilities lead to arrogance, selfishness, self-will and the use of demonic powers to perform so-called miracles. Their teachings about faith have become rituals for producing instant results; and many who could not comply were ridiculed and rejected as "having no faith". Word-faith is NOT Biblically based! BEWARE!!!

False teachers distort the Truth about Jesus and preach a different Jesus, a different spirit than the Holy Spirit, and a different gospel than God’s one and only way of salvation. Because the Bible is God’s Word and is never wrong, those who teach anything different from what it says, are WRONG and are misleading people. BEWARE! False teachers do NOT teach the TRUTH about Jesus. They teach another Jesus (2 Cor.11:4; Gal.1:7-8), and another gospel. BEWARE!!! They are the devil's children (1 Jn.3:10), and will lead you to HELL!!!
