HIS SERVANTS' MINISTRY

www.worldlychaos.org

Welcome to our website

Prayers of Today Empowers Tomorrow

Government authorities and leaders are regular people just like you and me. They make human decisions, struggle with human temptations, and have human tendencies toward ego and pride. They need our help and support, which comes most powerfully through prayer. And what we pray today can have a far-reaching impact on the future. Remember that God is not bound by time, and neither are our prayers. Our prayers can follow those for whom we pray, inspiring every step of their leadership journey.

Here’s something most people don’t consider:
Most prominent political leaders didn’t just appear on the scene and decide to run for office. They started small, right in their own communities. Many public servants take their first steps of leadership on school boards or city councils. If they do a good job or begin to develop political acumen, they’re often recruited to campaign for higher city or county positions. Eventually, they may consider state-level positions and continue moving up from there.

By praying for local leaders, we are asking God to guide their decisions, to influence their leadership, and to help them relate to their community members and political contemporaries with respect and grace. Our prayers can make a huge difference in strengthening their families and guarding morals. When God moves them to lead with Godly principles in response to our prayers, our communities are more peaceful and dignified as in: 1 Tim. 2:1-3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 3 details. How much more serene might our local communities and our country become if we regularly and diligently offered prayer for our leaders? (KJV)

Your Prayer Directed for Leaders

It seems overwhelming to cover every level of leadership with prayer, so we should start small. Pick a section of government and begin praying for that leader, then listen and follow the Lord’s encouragement to expand your intercession.  Some leaders you might begin with include:

    Teachers / School Administrators
    Law Enforcement and First Responders
    Judges and Court Officials
    Doctors, Nurses, and Healthcare workers
    School Boards
    City Councils
    Mayors and County Commissioners
    State Representatives and Senators
    Governors
    Military Leaders
President/Other Leader of the country you reside in

How to Pray for Leaders

It is not easy to know what to pray for our leaders. We rarely see them in their daily roles and do not know what temptations and trials they may face. Here a few Scripture-based prayers to help you get started:

<><><>1. . . I ask that _____ (leader’s name or title) be filled with the knowledge of Your will, Lord. May they will do what is pleasing to You, bear fruit in every good work, and grow to know You more and more. . . . Col. 1:9-11 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; (KJV) . . . Paul urges Christians and government leaders:
1. To walk . . . to be active in their Christian calling.
2. To walk worthily . . . fitting the dignity of that calling.
3. To do everything so that God might be pleased with the manner, the time, the motive, disposition, design and object of every word and deed.
4. They should be fruitful. Just being harmless is not sufficient; for as God had sown good seed, He expected good fruit.
5. Their every work should be good; they must not be fruitful in some works and fruitless in others.
6. They should increase in the knowledge of God, learning more of God, His love, His grace and His peace, day by day.

<><><>2. . . . Lord, I pray that ____ will listen to advice and accept instruction to gain wisdom for the future. Pro. 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. (KJV) . . . Our prayers today may help him tomorrow!

<><><>3. . . . May there be love and respect in ____’s home. Eph.5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. (KJV) . . . "Let each love his wife as himself." This shows the kind of husband to whom the wife is to submit to!
May each family member bear with one another and forgive each other as the Lord has forgiven them. Col. 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (KJV) . . . Forbearing is to be merciful, patient, forgiving towards each other, not only in suffering insults, but also refusing to take advantage of the weaknesses of others, so to not irritate them to anger or passion, or to make them stumble, or intensify their failings (Pro.16:32; 1 Cor.4:12; Gal.6:2; Eph.4:2; 2 Thes,1:4). We must avoid any and all occasions of irritating or provoking each other. . . . We need to pray for these things in our leaders.

<><><>4. . . . May _____ live in harmony with others, work without pride, and provide strong service to the humble. May they never be wise in their own eyes. Rom. 12:16-17 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. (KJV) . . . Live in harmony with each other. Don’t try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. Don’t think you know it all, and don’t think that you are better than someone else. Look upon worldly splendor and dignity with holy contempt. Don’t set your mind on it, don’t be in love with it. Be content in the place God in His wisdom has put you, whatever it is (Phil.4:11; 1 Tim.6:8; heb.13:5). Remember, God always knows what is best for His children. We may think we know it all . . . but God does know it all!

<><><>5. . . . Help ____ to never be motivated by selfish ambition, but with authentic humility put the needs of others before their own. Phil. 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. (KJV) . . . Do nothing through self-interest in the things of God; nor claim to yourselves gifts, graces, and fruits, which belong to others. You are all called to promote God's glory and the salvation of men. Let each rejoice to see another, whom God may be pleased to use in a special way, by the successful use of his talents to the great work.

<><><>6. . . . I pray that ____ will live worthy of the calling they have received. May they develop a love for those they serve in humility and gentleness, and make every effort to live in unity. Eph. 4:2-3 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (KJV) . . . . Humility; gentleness of mind, regarding others better than ourselves (Phil.2:3); a virtue characteristic to Christians (Col.3:12-13) and is the opposite of pride. Meekness . . . means we are not easily provoked or offended with the infirmities of others. This is opposite of being irritable or cranky.

<><><>7. . . . I pray that ____ will look after the disabled, the elderly, the weak and widows. 1 Cor. 1:26-29 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. (KJV) . . . Our leaders should consider the many people that need their help. And I do NOT mean those who are too lazy to work and live on government food stamps and other handouts. I am talking about the elderly living on Social Security checks and some not even that. There are some people who are disabled in some way. Why God chooses to handicap some people, only He knows, but there are some retarded, some deaf, some blind, some crippled, etc. They should be considered by our government leaders. We need to pray for these leaders to do right by those who need support.

Praying for our leaders is not complicated, and it yields such a great benefit for the Kingdom of God. It is a sure way to offer support and influence that community leaders need.

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV)

Government authorities and leaders are regular people just like you and me. They make human decisions, struggle with human temptations, and have human tendencies such as ego and pride. They need our help and support, which comes most powerfully through prayer. And what we pray today can have a far-reaching impact on the future. Remember that God is NOT bound by time, and neither are our prayers. They can follow recipients, inspiring every step of their leadership journey.

Here’s something most people don’t consider:

How much more serene might our local communities and our country become if we regularly and diligently offered prayer for our leaders?

Let yourself imagine electing a President or leader for your country who rose up from grassroots community service and who had been covered in prayer for their entire political career. I believe I’d like to support a man or woman like that, wouldn’t you?

Targeting Prayer for Leaders
It seems overwhelming to cover every level of leadership with prayer, so start small. Pick a segment and begin praying, then listen and follow the Lord’s prompting to expand your intercession.  Some leaders you might begin with include:

    Teachers / School Administrators
    Law Enforcement and First Responders
    Judges and Court Officials
    Doctors, Nurses, and Healthcare workers
    School Boards
    City Councils
    Mayors and County Commissioners
    State Representatives and Senators
    Governors
    Military Leaders
President/Other Leaders of the county you reside in

How and what do we Pray for Leaders?
It’s not always easy to know what to pray for our leaders. We don’t often see them in their daily roles and don’t know what challenges they face. Here a few Scripture-based prayers to help you get started:

I pray Lord that _____ (leader’s name or title) be filled with the knowledge of Thy will, Lord. May they desire to do what is pleasing to You, bear fruit in every good work, and grow to know You more each day.  Col 1:9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (KJV)

Lord, I pray that ____ will listen to advice and accept instruction to gain wisdom for the future. Pro. 19:20-21 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. (KJV)

May there be love and respect in ____’s home. May each family member bear with one another and forgive each other as the Lord has forgiven them.  Col. 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (KJV)

May _____ live in harmony with others, work without pride, and provide services to the elderly, humble and weak. May they never be wise in their own eyes. Rom. 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. (KJV)

Help ____ to never be driven by selfish ambition, but with sincere humility, always putting the needs of others before their own. Phil. 2:3-4  Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4  Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. (KJV)

(KJV)

Praying for our leaders is not a complicated nor lengthy process, but it yields tremendous benefits for the Kingdom of God. It is absolutely a proven way to support and influence community leaders for good.
