Freemasonry and Christianity
Are NOT Compatible

I personally believe that Masonry has deep, dark and demonic roots. I do not mean that everyone involved with the Lodge is demon possessed or a bad person. There are many in that organization because they really thought it was a “Christian” group and were led there by friends, family and even pastors.

I certainly do not what to stop Masons from attending church . . . my intentions are just the opposite! I know that it would highly please the LORD God if TRUE Christians would STOP attending Masonic meetings, and I will give some reasons why.

To start with, TRUE Christians KNOW that Jesus is the ONE and ONLY Answer for the spiritually lost and those who are greatly deceived by false teachings (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). It should be our heartfelt desire to help people find a close relationship with Jesus that comes only from solid Bible teaching, prayer and fellowship with others who have found this Truth?

If people are willing to agree with and follow the Scriptures in making decisions, then there are only three points I would like to share. But, if and when Christian leaders approve of the idea that Lodge or Eastern Star members may jointly hold membership in a local church too, they are in total opposition to the Holy Word of God. By doing so they are allowing the Evil Enemy more than enough room to operate.

Reason #1 - The Swearing of Secret Oaths
The truth is, most Christians do not understand and are ignorant about the workings of the Masons . . . in the fact that a person must swear an oath of secrecy and even voice a death curse on one’s own self in each of the first three degrees (Blue Lodge) should be a strong statement to TRUE Christians that something is way off base! This is a part of the first and third degree oaths from the Masonic Blue Lodge ceremony taken directly out of the Lodge handbook.

“As this I most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear, binding myself under no less a penalty than that of having my throat cut from ear to ear, my tongue torn out by its roots and with my body, buried in the sands of the sea at low-water mark, where the tide ebbs flows twice in twenty-five hours, should I ever knowingly or willfully violate or transgress this, my Entered Apprentice obligation. So help me God and make me steadfast to keep and perform the same.”
(First Degree).

“All this I most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear, binding myself under no less penalty than that of having my body severed in two, my bowels torn from thence and burned to ashes, and these scattered before the four winds of Heaven, that no more remembrance might be had among men or Masons of so vile a wretch as I should be, should I in the least knowingly or willfully violate or transgress this, my Master Mason obligation. So help me God and make me steadfast…” (Third Degree).

WHAT does GOD say in His Book about oaths?
Mat. 5:34-37 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. (KJV)
WHO will YOU believe? What should YOU do to correct the situation?

Reason #2 - Masonry is NOT Christian in Creed or in its "god."
If Jesus warning against swearing oaths weren't enough, masonry’s own most noted writers signify it as a religion and one man, Albert Mackey, makes certain to proclaim that that religion is NOT Christianity.

“Freemasonry is NOT Christianity nor a substitute for it…but the religion of Masonry is not sectarian. It admits men of every creed within its hospitable bosom, rejecting none and approving none for his particular faith…Masonry is, indeed, a religious institution…”

At the Shrine level (32nd and 33rd degree Masons), the initiate (person) swears a binding oath in the name of "Allah, the God of our Fathers." Does this clear up why the theme of the Shriners is Islamic (including the crescent moon, star, and sword: the three primary symbols of Islam) and why so many Shrine centers around the world have Arabic names.

The deity (god) spoken of again and again in Masonic writings is JoBulOn (also JoaBulOn), which is a compound god representing Jehovah, Baal and Osiris. When the Mason pronounces that name in the Masonic prayer of worship, they may have no idea that in doing so they have blasphemed and defiled the Holy Name of the One and Only TRUE God of this Universe!

Reason #3 - Masonry Espouses Universalism

Perhaps most condemning is the fact that universalism and a false identity of God are clearly presented in the introduction pages of the King James Bibles that are handed out to Blue Lodge graduates (3rd degree). The Masonic Bibles from Washington, Idaho, Texas and South Carolina, etc., clearly state that Masonry accepts all religions as valid paths to “the nameless one of a hundred names.” This to me, is a direct insult to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ! If Hinduism or Islam were paths to meet the one TRUE God . . . WHY did God have to send His Only Begotten Son to die such an awful and needless death?

Here is a quote from the introduction pages of the Masonic Bible.

“For Masonry knows, what so many (religions) forget, that religions are many, but Religion is ONE…Thus by the very honor which Masonry pays to the Bible, it teaches us to revere every book of faith in which men find help for today and hope for the morrow, joining hands with the man of Islam as he takes oath on the Koran, and with the Hindu as he makes covenant with God upon the book that he loves best... Therefore, it (Masonry) invites to its altar men of all faiths, knowing that, if they use different names for 'the Nameless One of a hundred names,' they are yet praying to the one God and Father of all; knowing, also, that while they read different volumes, they are in fact reading the same vast Book of the Faith of Man." (emphasis added)

Here are more statements from Masonic writers that confirm the heresy of universalism.

“The true Mason is not creed-bound. He realizes with the divine illumination of his lodge that as a Mason his religion must be universal: Christ, Buddha, or Mohammed, the name means little, for he recognizes only the light and not the bearer. He worships at every shrine, bows before every altar, whether in temple, mosque or cathedral, realizing with his truer understanding the oneness of all spiritual truth.”

These teachings stand in direct contradiction to:
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
Dear one, the Bible is not only a path to God . . . it is the place to find TRUTH! In it, we find how God wants us to live this brief life here on Earth. It reveals and contains the only place to find the Only Path to God. Christ Jesus is the One and Only Saviour and the ONLY Way to access Heaven where God our Heavenly Father is! Believing He is only one of many ways is in direct contradiction to the Bible and to me is blasphemy!

So, Masonry is:
A religion . . . but far from being Christian.
A religious cult that demands secret oaths of loyalty and silence.
A religion teaching Universalism

SUMMARY
The demonic nature of Masonry should be exposed, not excused. We as Christians must uphold the teachings of the Bible, and the very uniqueness of God, and place the utmost importance and exclusive superiority of Christ Jesus as the Only Way to the One and Only TRUE God of this world (John 14:6: Acts 4:12). Masonry must be seen for what it is, a demonic enemy of the Cross.

Church leaders, BEWARE, take warning. Our awesome God in His Scriptures, is very clear about the mixing light with darkness, or having friendship with those in darkness!
2 Cor.6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Allowing anyone who willfully or ignorantly swears faithfulness to a false god to participate in membership or leadership in a church body not only short circuits God's protection and blessing but will sooner or later result in God's holy wrath. Maybe just as troubling is that Masonry repeats through its members . . . and if not checked, in time this leaven, will spread in your midst resulting in more converts to Masonry and better working conditions for Satan.
