Should a Christian be a Mason??

It is very disturbing to me, that Masonry preserves and continues the worship of their Great Architect Of The Universe . . . as the one true God instead of recognizing that the Creator God of the Bible (Gen.Ch.1 & 2), as the only TRUE God (Exodus 20:1-3). Masons recognize a “Supreme Being” which includes the gods of all religions from Hinduism, Islam, Taoism, etc., and every or anything in between. Masonry teaches that different religions all acknowledge the same god, only they call him by different names. STUPIDITY! That does NOT set right with me at all or sound anywhere near right in my mind.

A TRUE Christian sees the Bible as the Holy Word of God and the one and only ultimate Source of Authority and Truth.
2 Tim.3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (KJV)
1 Thes.2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. (KJV)

Masons see the Bible as only one of many sacred books where the truth can be found . . . like the Koran or the Bhagavad-gita, or the Tripitakas, or the Tao-te-ching, etc.

It deeply troubles me that Jesus is just one of Mason’s many equally respected and revered prophets.

I find it difficult to believe that while Christians believe that ALL men and women are born in sin and NEED a saviour (Rom.3:23; 6:23; John 1:12; 3:16; Rom.5:12), the Masons teach that man is NOT sinful, just imperfect, and that he can improve his standing before God by living a good life while performing good works for the community and being merciful to others. That is NOT what the Holy Word of God tells us!
GOD clearly states the following:
John 3:15-18 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV)
John 3:35-36 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV)

According to the Holy Word of the One and Only TRUE God of this world. . . Salvation (Eternal Life in Heaven) is a FREE Gift! There are absolutely NO works whatsoever that can gain anyone salvation of their soul!
Rom.6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)
Eph.2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
Do we have to pay for a GIFT??? NO! NO! NO! We do NOT have to pay for it nor do we have to WORK for it!
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV)

To receive Him, here, means to believe on Him. "As many as received him" (Isa.56:5; Rom.8:15; 1 John 3:1) "Gave he power" . . . means privilege, honor, dignity or right. A child of God enjoys the greatest privileges and blessings Almighty God can grant to us this side of eternity. All those who accept Jesus Christ, as He is offered to them in the Gospel, have through His Precious Blood, a RIGHT to this sonship! By Jesus’ Sacrifice on the cross, this blessing was purchased for us; and the jam-packed Promises of God confirm it to ALL who believe. Those who are adopted into God's family have the highest honor and dignity that is possible for a human soul! How wonderful this is! The sinner, who WAS an heir to ALL God's curses, has, through the Sacrifice of Jesus, a claim on the mercy of the Most High, and a RIGHT to eternal salvation! Justice on the ground of its holy and eternal nature, gives salvation to the vilest sinner who takes refuge in the atonement of Jesus; for justice can grant nothing, or give Heaven, which the precious Blood of the Son of God has not merited. 1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (KJV) Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (KJV) . . . ONLY JESUS can give us the power, the right, and the hope of eternal life (Tit.1:2).
"Sons of God" . . . we are children of God by adoption. Christians are called sons of God because: #1. They are adopted by God (1 John 3:1). #2. They are like Him; they resemble Him and have His Spirit. #3. They are united to the Lord Jesus, the Son of God and are considered by Him as His brethren (Mat.25:40), and therefore regarded as the children of the Most High.
"Believe on His Name" . . . means believing and trusting in Him. The Name of Jesus means SO MUCH!!! (Mat.12:21; Mk.6:14; John 2:23; 20:31; Acts 3:16; 10:43; 15:14; Ro.1:5; 1 John 5:13).
From this verse we learn:
#1. That to be a child of God is a privilege, far more than to be the child of any man, no matter how rich, learned or honored. Christians are therefore more honored than any other people in God's eyes!
#2. Only God can give us this privilege. It is NEVER by our own works or that we deserve it, it is because God chose to impart this blessing to us, because of Jesus (Eph. 2:8; John 15:16; Rom.6:23).
#3. This favor is given only to those who believe on Him. All others are the children of the devil (1 John 3:10), and NO one who does not have confidence in God can be considered as His child.
IF you are a child of God, tell people about Jesus! It is your duty! Do NOT be ashamed of Jesus, or you will regret it one day. Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. (KJV)

So many things about the Masons really bother me. God says salvation can be gained only by placing faith in Jesus and in His death on the cross and in His following resurrection to forgive all sins (John 1:12-13; 3:15-18) . . . yet the Masons teach that salvation can be gained by man’s good works. WHO is right? It is NOT the Masons!

It troubles me that while Christianity is open and has no secrets, while on the other hand, the Masons have countless levels of secrecy which are unveiled as one moves up to higher levels. Those on lower levels only learn the secrets as they progress upward through the system. Masonry is simply a different version of the second century heresy of Gnosticism. Gnosticism believed that only the privileged few can know the secrets of God. It also sounds a little like Catholicism too. As knowledge increases spirituality is said to soar as does the isolation of being on a “higher level than others.” See our articles, and others on Gnosticism:

Another problem for me is that Jesus tells us NOT to swear an oath (Mat.5:34-37) . . . BUT the heart of Masonry demands the swearing of an oath to gods and to principles other than to Jesus. That is outright idolatry.
Exo. 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (KJV)
1 Cor. 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. (KJV)
Rev.21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (KJV)
The Bible clearly states that the punishment for that sin is SEVERE.

Taking an oath of allegiance to any person or thing other than Jesus lessens their sacrifice and belittles their martyrdom. Yes, I know that Masons have done many good things to and for people. For example, the Shriners, who are associated with Masons, have funded hospitals and done wonderful things all around the country in multiple communities.

BUT . . . “Can a Mason be a Christian?” I think the answer is very simple . . . because being a TRUE Christian is the same for everyone.
Gal.1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (KJV)
Paul repeats in verse 9 what he said in verse 8 about the curse. There are SO many who should KNOW what the Bible states, yet they preach “another gospel” (damnable heresies, 2 Pet.2;1). It is SO plain here, anyone who does this shall be “accursed” (damned, condemned to Hell) because there are NO “another Gospels” in God’s Holy Eyes!
What about all the people who go along with these preachers? Are they also “accursed”? I say Yes!

In the above Scriptures, the apostle Paul laid out the only TRUE Gospel formula for salvation of our souls (eternal life in Heaven) as “FAITH + NOTHING = SALVATION.” It really frustrates me that heretics (doubters, skeptics, unbelievers) all over the world refuse to believe God. My dear friend, IF you refuse to believe God, you are calling HIM a “Liar” (1 John 5:10). I do not think that you want to do that! Paul cursed those who were “perverting the Gospel” into something that was NOT the Gospel.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH PAUL, that if ANYONE is preaching to you another Gospel other than what is in the Holy Bible, let them be under God’s curse!

In my opinion Masonry is NOT a Christian organization, and if you are a Christian, I highly advise to STAY AWAY from them.

I would want to think that there are Christians who are Masons, who do not truly understand masonry nor the meaning and/or the consequence of the vows they take and the beliefs they adopted. I advise them to repent.
