Heresies of Seventh-Day Adventists

Seventh Day Adventism (SDA) is an extremely deceitful false religion (cult). SDAs, more than other false religions, APPEAR as born again Christians. If you look at their web site, you'd never know they were unsaved heretics. They believe in Christ's deity, the Virgin Birth, the Godhead, etc. They teach on their web page that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone, just as the Word of God teaches. But don't be fooled. This deception has led MANY people, even Christians, to accept SDAs as "Christian." What they do NOT tell you about is their HIDDEN heresies which they would never bring to light in public. Below are some truths about this Satanic cult that CLAIM to be "Christian."

Seventh-Day Adventism began in the mid-nineteenth century, when a Baptist preacher, who later repented of his folly, predicted that Jesus Christ would return in 1844. Miller had over 10,000 followers, many of whom sold their homes, gave away all their earthly possessions, quit their jobs, and waited eagerly for the Lord's return. BUT the Lord did NOT return in 1844! Lo and behold, in comes Ellen G. White to save the day, claiming that instead of returning to the Earth, Jesus entered into the Holy of Holies in Heaven to finish His work of atonement. FINISH His Work of atonement? Ridiculous!

White called this supposed event the "Investigative Judgment," a doctrine NOT found anywhere in the Word of God. There is NO such thing as "Investigative Judgment," it is an exclusive heresy of Seventh-Day Adventists. This unbiblical teaching that Jesus entered into the Holy of Holies in 1843 to begin His work of Investigative Judgment, which is the process of deciding WHO is "worthy" to enter Heaven or not. The Holy Word of God teaches that NO ONE is worthy of Heaven (Romans 3:23). Christ's work of redemption was FINISHED long ago, and is absolutely NOT continuing today as Adventists wrongly teach. It is a damnable heresy for anyone to claim that Christ's work of redemption was NOT completed at the mercy seat.

Adventists Teach Salvation by Works!

Seventh-day Adventists Call God a Liar! The demonic doctrine of “Investigative Judgment” is based upon the idea of Christ analyzing each person’s life and trying to determine who is “worthy” to enter the Kingdom of God. That is NOT what the Word of God says! Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV) God promises salvation to anyone who trusts upon the Name of Jesus for salvation; but SDA teaches that there is NO guarantee of salvation until Christ’s work of Investigative Judgment is complete. So . . . SDAs are calling God a liar. God's Word tells us believers can “KNOW” they have eternal life. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) SDAs teach that only Christ knows who is truly worthy to enter the Kingdom. Who are YOU going to believe?

In the Bible, salvation is based upon God’s unconditional love for sinful mankind. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV) Because God loves us, He sent His only begotten Son into the world to pay for our sins! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) . . . BUT according to SDA, salvation is based on our loyalty to God, our faithfulness to keep God’s commandments, whether or not we abide in Christ, and our faith. They profess to trust completely in Jesus Christ for salvation; BUT at the same time claim that one’s loyalty to God is a critical factor in salvation. Romans 10:3-4 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. [4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (KJV) A doctrine of self-righteousness, God condemns.

The Devil CANNOT deceive us if we let the light of God's Word shine in the darkness. Just like most false religions, SDAs double talk. SDAs will swear that they believe in salvation by grace through faith in Christ; BUT, then the writings of Ellen G. White, whom they ALL recognize as a prophet inspired by God, contradicts their claims. "Those who accept the Saviour, however sincere their conversion, should never be taught to say or to feel that they are saved. This is misleading. Every one should be taught to cherish hope and faith; but even when we give ourselves to Christ and know that He accepts us, we are not beyond the reach of temptation ... Only he who endures the trial will receive the crown of life." AGAIN I tell you: the Bible tells us that we can KNOW we have eternal life. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. (KJV) Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (KJV) We do NOT have to WORK for salvation! Jesus paid the TOTAL price! Salvation is FREE! Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (KJV) Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV) . . . Justified = just as if I'd never sinned! Justified = declared NOT guilty in the courts of Heaven!

Eternal life is a "FREE GIFT" paid for by the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18,19) also see: Romans 5:15-18. SDA's position: "Only those will be saved who, having been redeemed by the grace of Christ, walk in obedience to all the light that God sheds on their way." This is the official Adventist position! The above doctrine means that all SDA members MUST comply with ALL of the requirements of the SDA church to be saved. So, according to SDA doctrine, if you do NOT tithe, you are NOT saved. Jesus NEVER asked anyone to do any work to be saved. Jesus only said to BELIEVE in Him (John 3:16). Jesus NEVER asked anyone to work for salvation, just to believe in Him.

Baptismal Regeneration

The following LIE of Satan is taken from a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church web site . . . "Through baptism we are truly born again in Jesus." What an absolute lie of Satan! NO where in the Word of God are we ever told that baptism saves. Lutherans and other Bible-corrupters try to manipulate Scripture. 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (KJV) Heretics take just a few words out of this Scripture, failing to quote the entire Verse. ". . . Baptism doth also now save us," might give the WRONG impression that baptism is essential to going to Heaven. But, if you read the rest of the verse, the Truth is clear, "...not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God." Being baptized cannot forgive our sins. Romans 6:5-6 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (KJV) Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. SDA's ADD the Keeping of the Sabbath

Seventh-Day Adventists ADD the keeping of the Sabbath day to faith in Christ, which is NO faith at all. You either you are trust Christ 100% or you do NOT trust Him at all. The dividing line between a believer and an unbeliever is faith in Christ ALONE. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) The Holy Word of God teaches that there is ONLY ONE WAY to Heaven, and that is through Christ Jesus! Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)

Satan is a master deceiver (2 Cor.11:13-15) and knows that some people are harder to trick than others, so he must manufactures false religions that looks close to Christianity. Seventh-Day Adventism is so cleverly camouflaged by Satan that many Christians even consider SDA a "Christian cult." They are NOT Christians! How can you have a "Christian" cult?

SDA's reject Jesus Christ as their Saviour the moment they ADD the Sabbath and their life's work to faith alone. Eternal life is a "gift" . . . already discussed. A gift does NOT have any strings attached, or it would not be a gift. We ALL are Hell-deserving sinners until we believe God and receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV) John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) 1 Thes. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (KJV) God does NOT make salvation difficult!

SDA's have a corrupted view of prophecy, much like the demonic heresies of the Jehovah Witnesses.

The Old Testament Sabbath day was a ceremonial law, NOT a moral law. It applied ONLY to the Jews, just as circumcision and the prohibition against eating pork. So for the sake of consistency, SDA's should never eat any bacon or ham, right? Just as with all false religions, it is hypocrisy. Years ago in Arizona, our boss purchased part of a big ranch that he planned to sub-divide. We had planned to be there most of the day so I had prepared food for lunch. The owner of that ranch was a SDA. Come lunch time, we found a cool place beneath a big cottonwood tree. I was curious to see what the SDA would do. The man sat down and ate with us . . . including ham sandwiches. Hypocrite!

Seventh-day Adventists present a health message that recommends vegetarianism and condones abstinence from pork, shellfish, and other foods proscribed as "unclean" in Leviticus. Alcohol and tobacco are also prohibited.

Seventh-day Adventists observe a 24-hour sunset-to-sunset Sabbath starting Friday evening. Seventh-day Adventists maintain that there is no biblical mandate for the change from the "true Sabbath" to Sunday observance, which is to say that Sunday-keeping is merely a "tradition of men." It was the first day of the week that our precious Saviour and Lord rose from the dead (Mark 16:2,9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1,19). And it seems to me that Jesus' disciples worshipped Sunday, the first day of the week (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor.16:2).

Seventh-day Adventists practice adult baptism by full immersion similar to the Baptists. Infants are dedicated rather than baptized, as it is argued that baptism requires consent and moral responsibility.
Seventh-day Adventists practice communion four times a year, reflecting their Methodist roots. The communion is an open service (available to members and non-members) and includes a foot-washing ceremony (commonly referred to as the Ordinance of Humility) and consumption of the Lord's Supper.
Seventh-day Adventists do not eat pork or other unclean meat as identified in the book of Leviticus and many avoid all meat for health reasons.
Missionary outreach of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is aimed at both unbelievers and other Christian churches.

The Adventist belief in soul sleep and annihilation is NOT Biblical. SDAs believe in "soul sleep" for the saved (no conscious existence from the time of death until the resurrection), and in annihilation for the wicked (the body and soul are destroyed at death rather than experiencing everlasting torment). Luke 16:19-31 clearly contradicts BOTH these heresies! How, then, can one get to Heaven? SDAs believe that one can have immortality only on the condition that he comes to Christ through Ellen G. White; a works program, following salvation by grace with light of revelation through Ellen G. White as the infallible guide to Holy Scripture, apart from which one cannot have immortality. Then, at resurrection day, the body will be re-created (necessary because of soul sleep) for all those who believe in White's guidance and teachings (while non-SDAs will remain in "soul sleep" forever; will cease to exist . . . be annihilated . . . and will not suffer everlasting torment. NOT what the Bible teaches!

Believers go Immediately into the Lord's Presence

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (KJV)

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (KJV)

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. (KJV)

Unbelievers go to an everlasting Hell

Luke 16:22-24 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; [23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. (KJV)

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:(KJV)

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.(KJV)

Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?(KJV)

Seventh-Day Adventism as a false religion, a CULT. They are wrong about salvation, they are on the wrong road (Mat.7:13-14), headed for Hell. I expose their heresies in hopes that if you are an Adventists, you will seriously consider what I have said, forsake your false religion and turn to Jesus Christ alone to save you.

The Branch Davidian Cult leader, David Koresh, in Waco, Texas was an offshoot of Seventh-Day Adventism. It is so sad how one child of the devil could lead so many gullible souls to Hell. This monster (in my eyes) claimed to be Christ, yet he preyed on innocent children to satisfy his insatiable sexual lust and his flock blindly followed him, never corrected him and never took their children and left.
