ARE Catholics Saved? Will Dedicated Catholics go to Heaven?
I CANNOT judge the soul of anyone, but since I have studied and taught the Bible for over 40 years, it is my opinion that IF a person believes what the Catholic Church officially teaches, and denies what the Bible teaches, he/she is not saved. Anyone that insists that works and/or rituals must be added to FAITH in order to receive eternal salvation is saying that Jesus’ death on the cross was NOT sufficient to fully pay sin’s penalty for us. They are saying that Jesus’ death on the cross was NOT enough to purchase our salvation. May God have mercy on these souls.
I believe that IF a person has truly believed God (1 John 5:10-13) and has been spiritually born again into the family of God (John 3:3-8), they could NOT remain in the Catholic church.
See what a former Catholic priest has to say:
Although salvation by faith is the most important issue . . . when we compare Roman Catholicism with the Word of God, there are many other differences and contradictions as well. The Roman Catholic Church teaches many doctrines that are in total disagreement with what the Bible declares. These include apostolic succession, worship of saints or Mary, prayer to saints or Mary, the pope/papacy, infant baptism, transubstantiation, plenary indulgences, the heresy of purgatory, etc. And even though Catholics claim there is Scriptural support for these ideas, NONE of these false teachings have any solid foundation in the clear teaching of God’s Holy Word. These ideas are based on Catholic tradition, NOT on the Word of God. The truth is that all their falsehoods clearly contradict and oppose Biblical doctrines and values!
So . . . Are Catholics Saved?
There are many denominations in Christianity. Personally, I think that denominations are of the devil. People refuse to believe the Bible and go searching to see what other ‘religions, denominations” say. BEWARE!!!
Not ALL Baptists are saved. Not ALL Presbyterians are saved. Not ALL in any denomination are saved. Salvation is determined by Almighty God, by personal faith in Jesus alone for salvation, NOT by titles or belonging to a certain denomination.
It is my humble opinion that a TRUE Christian could NOT, nor will NOT stay in the Catholic Church when they know that the Bible contradicts and/or opposes what Catholics teach. A person must believe GOD . . . not the commandments of men!
Matthew 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?(KJV)
Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (KJV)
Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (KJV)
Rev.22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (KJV)
