What is the Millennial Kingdom?

It is the 1000 Year Millennium Kingdom. After the last bowl judgment (Rev.16:17-21) is completed in the Great Tribulation, the battle of Armageddon follows and then Jesus comes back to put a final end to all of it.

The Antichrist and False Prophet are the first ones to be thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone (Rev.19:20). Satan is then thrown into the Bottomless Pit for a thousand years (Rev.20:1-2), and all of the wicked and unbelievers people are kept in Hades (Hell) for the next 1000 years.
When Jesus has returned back to the Earth for the second and final time, WHAT is He going to do? He shall set up a 1000 year Millennium Kingdom in which He will literally rule this entire Earth from the city of Jerusalem in Israel. Here is what the Bible says about what will be going on during this time period.
The Bible says this period will be a time of PERFECT PEACE. Jesus will rule this entire Earth from the city of Jerusalem, He and He alone will be the ONLY official Ruler and King of this Earth. Men will no longer war with one another and Isaiah tells us that even the wild beasts like tigers and lions will be tame.
All of the saints who have been living with Jesus in Heaven will be coming down with Him to help Him rule the nations of this world. Jesus will be the ONLY God people will worship and serve. All other false religions (cults) will have been completely done away with. People will live long lives, possibly up to a 1000 years like they did before the flood of Noah.
Consider the following verses from Scripture that will give us this specific information.

Jesus Will Rule This Earth from the City of Jerusalem

Some people think that Jesus will not be literally ruling this earth from the city of Jerusalem. They think He will be ruling from Heaven where He is at now. I disagree. The following Scripture verses will tell us, without any other possible interpretation, that Jesus will literally be ruling this entire earth from the city of Jerusalem, not from Heaven where He is at right now.
Psalm 2:4-9 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. (KJV) . . . This is God the Father making a statement that He will set His Son Jesus on the holy hill of Zion where He will literally rule from. God is saying that He is going to give Jesus the entire earth as His possession.

Luke 1:32-33 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (KJV) . . . God the Father will give Jesus the throne of King David, which is from Jerusalem, and that His kingdom will last forever.

The Millennial Kingdom is the seventh dispensation, which brings about the conclusion of life on Earth and the closest thing yet to how God really wanted to live with us on this planet. As its name suggests, the Millennial Kingdom of Christ will last for 1000 years (Rev.20:1-10).

The resurrected Old Testament saints, the glorified Church, and survivors of the Tribulation and their descendantswill be stewards in this Kingdom.
From the Second Coming of Christ (Rev.19:11-21) until the final rebellion (Rev.20:7-10), will be a period of one thousand years.
The responsibility of inhabitants is that they must be obedient, and remain undefiled, and worship the Lord Jesus (Isa.11:3-5; Zec.14:9).
After Satan is loosed from the Abyss (Rev.20:3), sinful man rebels one last time (Rev.20:7-9).
Judgment shall come down on them, and they shall be cast into the Lake of Fire from God (Rev.20:11-15), which is the Great White Throne.
By the grace of Jesus Christ, Creation is restored and rules righteously in Israel, with all saints assisting (Isa.11:1-5; Mat. 25:31-46; Rev.20).

The Millennial Kingdom will be a time characterized by peace (Isa.11:6-7; Mic.4:3); justice (Isa.11:3-4), unity (Isa.11:10), abundance (Isa.35:1-2), healing (Isa.35:5-6), righteousness (Isa.35:8), joy (Isa.55:12), and the physical Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ (Isa.16:5). Satan will be bound in the Abyss during the entire 1000 year period (Rev.20:1-3). The Christ, Messiah Jesus will be the caring, compassionate and concerned Dictator ruling over the whole world (Isa.9:6-7,11). It seems that the the resurrected saints of all times will take part in the management of the government (Rev.20:4-6).

The Millennial Kingdom is measurable and comes after the Kingdom of God which came to man during the dispensation of Grace. On Jesus’ first visit to the Earth, He brought grace; at His Second Coming He will execute justice and usher in the Millennium. Jesus mentioned His glorious return at His trial before the Sanhedrin (Mk.14:62), and He seems to refer to the Millennial Kingdom when He taught His disciples to pray, “Thy kingdom come” (Mat.6:10).

To me, the rebellion at the end of the Millennial Kingdom seems almost unbelievable. Mankind will have been living in a perfect environment with every need cared for, overseen by a truly just government (Isa.11:1-5), yet they are not happy. Man simply CANNOT maintain the perfection that God requires. Mankind follows Satan every chance he gets!

At the end of the Millennium, the final rebellion is crushed, and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire (Rev.20:10). Then comes the Great White Throne Judgment where ALL the unrighteous of ALL of the dispensations will be judged according to their works and also cast into the lake of fire (Rev.20:15). According to works: (Ps.62:12; Pro.24:12,29; Isa.59:18; Jer.21:14; 25:14; 32:19; Lam.3:64; Eze.7:8-9; 18:30; Hos.12:2; Zec.1:6; Mat.16:27; Rom.2:6; 2 Tim.4:14; Rev.2:23; 18:6; 20:12-13; 22:12).

After that final judgment, God and His people live forever in the New Jerusalem, on a new earth with a new heaven (Rev.21). God’s plan of redemption will have been completely realized, and the redeemed will know God and enjoy Him forever.

Who will inhabit the Millennial Kingdom?

There will be two distinct groups inhabiting the Earth during the millennial kingdom . . . those with glorified bodies, and those with earthly bodies who lived through the tribulation and on into the millennial kingdom. Those with glorified bodies consist of the Church, receiving glorified bodies at the Rapture (1 Thes.4:13-18; 1 Cor.15:21-23,51-53), and those who are resurrected after Christ returns to Earth (Rev.20:4-6). Those who have earthly bodies can be subdivided into two groups: believing Gentiles and believing Jews (Israel).

In Rev.19:11-21 and Zec.14:1-5, we find the return of Jesus Christ to Earth, known as His Second Coming. The Rapture is the appearing of Christ in the air, to remove the church before the Tribulation period. The Rapture is NOT His Second Coming. There IS a difference!

There is no mention in Revelation chapters 19 & 20 of any kind of rapture event. It seems that the saints who are on Earth when Christ returns will remain on Earth to enter the millennial kingdom in their natural bodies. The only event that results in believers receiving glorified bodies is found in (Rev.20:4-6) where those who became believers during the Tribulation and were killed because of their faith are resurrected. Many also believe that at this same time Old Testament saints will be resurrected, also receiving glorified bodies (Dan.12:2).

The impression is given in the Bible, that when Christ returns, all Israel will trust in Him (Zec.12:10). They, too, will not receive glorified bodies, as did those who were raptured prior to the tribulation and those resurrected afterward. They also will produce children during the millennial kingdom.

So, believing Gentiles, Israel, and resurrected/raptured believers (all of whom have glorified bodies) will inhabit the Earth. We should understand that believers with glorified bodies will NOT be reproducing. There is no marriage after this life on Earth. Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. (KJV) . . . Please note: “are as the angels”. . . we do NOT become angels!
But are as the angels of God in heaven . . . He is NOT saying that they are angels. NO mortal man or woman will ever become an angel. Angels and mankind are two distinct categories of God’s Creation. Neither species can become the other. Yes! Angels can take on the form of man, but they are NOT literal man! (Gen.18:2; Josh.5:13; Dan.8:15; 10:5; 12:5). We will NOT be angels in Heaven, but we will be like the angels in that there shall be NO marriage in Heaven. Why? Because in Heaven it will not be necessary to continue the human race. Jesus, by mentioning angels, knocks down another false belief of the Sadducees, that there were no angels (Acts 23:8).

Children born during the millennial kingdom will have the exact same responsibility of faith in Christ as all people of past ages had. Faith in Christ since His coming; faith in God before His Coming (Gen.15:2-6; Hab.2:4; Rom.3:20). Unfortunately, not all of the children that are born during the millennial kingdom will come to faith in Christ. All those that do not will be led away by Satan into rebellion against God at the end of the millennial kingdom when Satan is let loose for a short time (Rev.20:7-10).
