MODERN BIBLE DISTORTIONS

Any words in yellow bold italics in the following articles are Jesus’ words, in the KJV of the Bible, which I consider to be the TRUE Bible. For those people who are familiar only with the newer, easier to read bibles, please take caution. These newer versions may be "easier to understand" but, you most likely are "understanding" something that may NOT true. This is the humble opinion of this servant of the Lord.

Rev. 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (KJV)

NKJV = he causes all, to receive a mark; NIV = forced everyone, to receive a mark; NLT = He required everyone, to be given a mark; TEV = all the people, to have a mark; GW = forces all people, to be branded; NASB = he causes all, to be given a mark; ASV = he causeth all, that there be given them a mark; Dar = it causes all, that they should give them a mark; (it ??) YLT = it maketh all, that it may give to them a mark; NAU = he causes all, to be given a mark; Msg = It forced all people, to have a mark; (it ??); CEV = All people were forced to put a mark. NWT = it puts under compulsion.

Rev. 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (KJV)

NKJV = except one who has the mark; NIV = unless he had the mark; NLT = without that mark; TEV = without this mark; GW = unless he has the brand; NASB = except the one who has the mark, ASV = save he that hath the mark, Dar = save he that had the mark, YLT = except he who is having the mark, NAU = except the one who has the mark, Msg = Without the mark; CEV = they all had to have this mark. NWT = except a person having the mark.

Rev. 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV)

NKJV = 666; NIV = 666; NLT = 666; TEV = 666; GW = 666; NASB = six hundred and sixty-six. ASV = Six hundred and sixty and six. Dar = six hundred [and] sixty-six. YLT = 666; NAU = six hundred and sixty-six. Msg = six hundred sixty-six. CEV = six hundred sixty-six. NWT = six hundred and sixty-six.

Rev. 14:9-10 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, [10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: (KJV)

NKJV = worships the beast, and receive his mark; NIV = worships the beast, receives his mark; NLT = worships the beast, or who accepts his mark; TEV = worship the beast, and receive the mark; GW = worships the beast, whoever is branded; NASB = worships the beast, and receives a mark; ASV = worshippeth the beast, and receiveth a mark; Dar = do homage to the beast, and receive a mark; YLT = the beast doth bow before, and doth receive a mark; NAU = worships the beast, and receives a mark; Msg = worships the Beast, and takes the mark; CEV = worship the beast, and have the mark. NWT = worships the wild beast, and receives a mark.

NKJV = he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone; NIV = he will be tormneted with burning sulfur; NLT = they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur; TEV = All who do this will be tormented in fire and sulfur; GW = he will be tortured by fiery sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the lamb. NASB = he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone; Dar = he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone; YLT = he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone; NAU = he will be tormented with fire and brimstone; Msg = suffer torment from fire and brimstone; CEV = you will be tortured with fire and burning sulphur. NWT = he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur.

Rev. 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (KJV)

NKJV = they have no rest day nor night, NIV = there is no rest day or night; NLT = they will have no relief day or night, TEV = There is no relief day or night; GW = There will be no rest day or night; NASB = they have no rest day and night, ASV = they have no rest day and night, Dar = they have no respite day and night; YLT = they have no rest day and night, NAU = they have no rest day and night, Msg = No respite for those who worship the Beast and its image, who take the mark of its name." CEV = you will never be able to rest. NWT = and day and night they have no rest.
