Principles of Selfism
Who are the adherents, saints, bishops and pastors of this new religion? It seems that the leaders of Selfism are the most ardent proponents of its central doctrines.
Self is good
Selfism thinks human nature is “good”, while TRUE Christians understand that ALL mankind is basically evil.
Selfists believe if left to their own rules, they will be unaffected by those invading their “identity”, for people will do the right thing.
Values, ideals or standards imposed by those outside a person’s identity are “bad”, self is god.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (KJV) . . . This Passage is totally reversed by Selfists!
God does NOT intend to change the "flesh," . . . the old nature which we have. The fact is that it cannot be changed. The Word of God has much to say about this. Our old nature is constantly at war with God. Romans 8:7-8 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (KJV)
Selfism is a reincarnation of Eastern religions that teach inner divinity, a god complex where the “knowledge of good and evil” exists within each of us and self is the mission.
In the name of respect, compassion and understanding, each person’s self-built identity is insulated from attacks by those claiming the existence of a superior God (born again Christians).
Selfism’s Leaders & Priorities
Selfism's doctrines and ideas are spread most eagerly by a powerful group of leaders across Capitol Hill, Hollywood, media, academia and secular humanism. These same individuals stand to benefit most from self-promotion and promotion of Selfism because they have become the objects of worship in America today. Yes, celebrity worship is persistent and widespread in our nation.
Many seek to be like the famous self-absorbed celebrities who spout Selfist principles with every chance they get. Uncountable TV shows and magazines dedicated to covering each waking moment of our nation’s most popular actors, politicians, musicians and athletes are filled with seemingly unassailable quotes and advice from those celebrities about Selfism’s top priorities:
Self fulfilment
Finding your true self
Realizing who you could be
Seeking happiness
Being accepted, not just tolerated
The unpardonable crime against Selfism is any interruption of those pursuits. In fact, much of the controversy surrounding politics today involves any perceived attempts to draw ideological, religious or moral lines. Those who worship at the altar of Selfism see adoption of any “truths” as unwelcomed burdens of personal beliefs on those who have already defined all of that for themselves. The Selfist theocracy even condemns and labels anyone questioning or infringing on another’s self-conceived notions or self-image as a racist, and instantly maligns them in the media. In direct contrast, those taking a stand for their self-conceived identity against any purported assailants are passionately supported by Selfists and praised by the media.
