Ye Shall Be Sorrowful . . . But the World Shall Rejoice

John 16:19-20 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. (KJV)

I think these words of Jesus give comfort to TRUE Christians in these dark, wicked ours of our day. Christians would be sad and sorrowful while the sinful world rejoices. There is NO born-again believer who can be truly happy living in the midst of such arrogant, brutal, greedy, filthy, selfish, me-me sick-o’s, sexually immoral, unthankful ingrates. When the world delights and rejoices at such wickedness, it cannot be too much longer before the Lord comes to remove the TRUE church and the Great Tribulation will come down hard on the unbelievers who remain.

The Bible Teaches that the World Hates Christians

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (KJV) . . . Jesus warns us that the sinful world would HATE US, and they do! The more a person persists in their stand for Jesus and His Truth, the more hated and persecuted that person will be. My friend, IF you are a professing Christian and you are popular with the heathen world, it is because you are NOT serving and obeying the Lord as you should. Jesus warns us that God-fearing, sin-hating, obedient, Bible-preaching Christians will be HATED by the world.

The world rejects God and His Truth! The world shows no mercy for the Christian . . . BUT . . . they have compassion on the wicked. This is why we see innocent men imprisoned for preaching the Gospel. The world is a wicked place! Abortionists think NOTHING of killing innocent babies! Yet even some supposed ‘Christians’ go along this . . . MURDER! Dear one, these are NOT born again children of God, they are children of the devil! 1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. (KJV)

Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. (KJV) . . . Any TRUE Christian who loves the Lord Jesus Christ will be persecuted!

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (KJV) . . . The world loves a cowardly believer who NEVER preaches the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who NEVER says that sin is wrong and shall be punished. They laugh at their sick, blasphemous jokes, and follows Jesus from AFAR off.

Matthew 26:58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. (KJV) . . . Peter followed afar off. Dear one, there is great danger for anyone who follows Jesus afar off. John 18:15-16 tells us that another disciple had also followed Jesus and went in with Him. Peter also gained entrance to the courtyard. He waited there to "see the end" and it would be very soon that he would deny the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (KJV) . . . Most professing believers today are HIDING the Gospel by their Christ-less life.

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. (KJV) . . . When a faithful Christian works in a heathen workplace, he must take a stand against sin OR compromise (go along with) and join in with evil thoughts, dirty jokes, porno filth, dishonest and deceitful ways and malicious gossip. A TRUE Christian must NOT ever curse in God's Name as the heathens do. We must NEVER go along with porno filth as the wicked do. We must NOT go to strip-clubs as the unbelievers do. We must NOT live like the sinful world of Satan. We must NOT commit fornication as the heathens do. We must NOT tell dirty jokes as the sinful world does. We must not gossip and slander people as the wicked do. A TRUE Christian belongs to Jesus Christ and we must OBEY Him, NOT the devil! Our Christian faith is being tested every minute of every day. BEWARE!!!
