Why God Must Punish Sin

The typical person today is so hardhearted concerning sin that they simply do NOT see any problem with abortion, drunkenness, Harry Potter's witchcraft, fortune tellers, pornography, strip joints, false religious cults, gambling, nudity, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, etc.

For us to understand WHY God must punish the wicked with revenge, we must realize that every time we sin it is a sin against God.
Psalm 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. (KJV)

Although David had commit the sins of adultery and murder, he KNEW that he had sinned against God in Heaven. When we sin, it is always an offense against God.

If a person has not believed God (1 John 5:10-13), and trusted and accepted Jesus, God’s only begotten Son to save them (John 3:15-16), they are NOT saved! They do NOT have eternal life. They have never had their sins forgiven in Christ Jesus, they have NOT been justified by faith in Christ (Rom.3:22, 26-28, 30; 5:1, 9).
Please consider: Rev.20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (KJV) . . . What happens in an abortion clinic, in an immoral strip joint, in a bed other than that of a spouse, in a thought of hatred (1 John 3:15), that could lead to murder, etc. . . . ALL these things are recorded in Heaven!

The vengeance which God will take in flaming fire (2 Thes.1:8-9) upon the wicked in Hell will be punishment for their sins. Have you ever considered that since God does allow suffering in this present world, WHY would you foolishly think that God would not allow torment (Luke 16:23-24) in the afterlife?

The Bible speaks much more of Hell than it does Heaven. WHY? Because God does NOT want you to go there! He continually warns of its dangers in detailed language! http://www.judgmentcoming.org/j_c_hell_is_it_there.htm

Are you really willing to go up against the God of the Universe? Are you really willing to reject the plain warnings in the Scriptures? Are you really willing to gamble your soul's eternal destiny based on your own limited knowledge? God’s Word existed long before you or I were born. Souls throughout the centuries have either believed or rejected the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us in Matthew that only a FEW will make it to Heaven. Will YOU be one of the FEW? You can be!
