HIS SERVANTS' MINISTRY

Welcome to our website

The Masonic Defense

Many Masons respond to ANY criticisms of them by saying that George Washington was a Mason, and that fourteen of Presidents have been Masons. But these facts are of no importance. ALL of mankind make mistakes! And ALL of mankind sin against our loving God! I’m sure there have been many good and great men that have been and are Masons, but I wonder, how many repented?

Others defend the Masons by pointing out that many preachers are Masons. This does not prove anything to me. Many pastors are also members of the APOSTATE National Council of Churches teaching FALSE doctrine, and many ministers are not saved. So, what does that prove? Absolutely nothing!

Many defend Masonry because it honors the Bible as God’s Word. I do NOT think that the Masons honor the Bible! The Standard Masonic Monitor maintains that the Bible is “the Great Light in Masonry” and it even urges Masons to study it. In my opinion, they are not reading in the right place! IF someone really wanted to know the TRUTH, our most Holy God would send light to their eyes and heart, so they could SEE that Masonry is WRONG, according to my King James Bible!

The plain ugly fact is, that the Bible is officially chosen as a piece of “lodge furniture.” In Utah, Masons place the Book of Mormon on their lodge altars. In India, the Hindu Vedras are placed on the altar, and in Muslim lands, the altar features the Koran. So in my mind, the Masonic arrogance toward the Bible is best summed up by an article that appears in the Masonic Bible that is published by Holman:

So, by the very honor which Masonry pays to the Bible, it teaches them to revere EVERY book of faith… joining hands with the man of Islam as he takes his oath on the Koran, and with the Hindu as he makes covenant with God upon the book that he loves best. For Masonry knows what so many forget, that religions are many, but Religion is one… Therefore, it invites to its altar men of all faiths knowing that, if they use different names for “the Nameless One of a hundred names,” they are yet praying to the one God and Father of all; knowing also, that while they read different volumes, they are in fact reading the same vast Book of the Faith of Man.”

What horrendous blasphemy of God and His Holy Word!

Masons also try to defend themselves by pointing to the good works of the Masonic Order. But, no one denies that Masons do many good works. Their good works just do not apply to the issue. And too, the Bible tells us that we are to do our good works in the Name of Jesus so that He will receive the honor and glory.
Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (KJV)
My friend, whatever you do . . . whether in your home, at your place of employment, and in your relationships with others . . . ASK YOUSELF, "Am I doing this in the Name of the Lord Jesus"? IF you can say, “I am doing it in His Name,” then continue to do so. BUT . . . IF you have to say, "I am NOT doing this in the Name of the Lord Jesus" . . . STOP and take inventory! Colossians 3:17 is a marvelous standard on which we can judge our lives. (2 Cor.13:5).

The Real Problem

The real issue in Masonry is Christ Jesus. He calls us to be open about our faith. The Masons operate in secret. Jesus strictly tells us NOT to take oaths (Mat.5:33-37) . . .
Just a simple yes or no! The Masons require blood oaths. Jesus calls us to do all things in His Name, to His honor and glory. Masons do their good works in the name of Masonry and to the glory of “The Great Architect of the Universe.” The Bible states that Jesus is “the blessed and only potentate” (1 Tim.6:14-15). Masons exalt their temple leaders by calling them spiritual titles like “Worshipful Master.” Jesus said that HE is the only way to God. Masons argue there are many roads to God. WHO will YOU believe?

IF you are a Christian and a Mason, I think it would be wise to repent of your involvement and condemn the Masonic oaths you have taken. It would be wise if you would ask God to forgive you for ever having taken those ungodly oaths. To please our Holy Triune God, you should resign your Masonic membership and rededicate yourself to Jesus and He alone. And last but not least, start spending the time you spent in Masonry in your local church instead, working to enlarge the Kingdom of God. You would be greatly blessed!

I would urge you to read 1 Timothy Chapter 6. This chapter holds within it the following subjects of counsel and encouragement:

  • The kind of instruction which was to be given to servants (employees verses 1-5). They were to treat their masters (employers) with all proper respect (verse 1).
  • The advantage was godliness and a contented mind (verses 6-8).
  • The desire to be rich brought evils (verses 9-10); evils seen in the temptations to which it leads; the passions which it raises; and the danger to religion itself.
  • An urging to Timothy, and a warning, as a minister of religion, to pursue higher and nobler objects (verses 11-16).

We make many decisions every day.
Pray to decide the right way.
