Freemasonry is of the Devil!

When I started doing research on Freemasons, I was horrified at the results! I have always known the Masons were a false religious cult, but I never really looked to find out just what they believe and who all were members. Unless you do research for yourself, you may not believe what I will write about some famous people who "profess" to be "Christians"!

The following is an excerpt from The Berean Call, June 1992.

Question: A high percentage of Southern Baptist laymen and pastors belong to the Masonic Lodge. This could be a major issue at the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention June 9-11. Is there a conflict between Masonry and Christianity?

Answer: Masonry is an anti-Christian religious cult that “does not specify any God of any creed [but] requires merely that you believe in some deity, give him what name you will...any god will do....” It claims to be the religion “around whose altars the Christian, the Hebrew, the Moslem, the Hindu, the followers of Confucius and Zoroaster, can assemble as brethren and unite in prayer....” (See Global Peace, p 159).

Masonry’s “God,” symbolized by the All-Seeing Eye, is called “The Great Architect of the Universe” (G.A.O.T.U.) and its “Heaven” is called “the Celestial Lodge above.” Its rituals and initiations into the ascending degrees are highly religious. Masonry teaches salvation by good works and secret rituals and rejects the finished work of Christ upon the cross as the only way to God. In the initiation into the very first degree, the lambskin is presented as representing“that purity of life and conduct which is necessary to obtain admittance into the Celestial Lodge above, where the Supreme Architect of the Universe presides.” In the 19th degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry the initiate is told that attachment to Masonry’s “statutes and rules of the order” will make him “deserving of entering the celestial Jerusalem [heaven].” In the 28th he is told that “the true Mason [is one] who raises himself by degrees till he reaches heaven” and that one of his duties is “To divest [him]self of original sin....”

Masonry, as its own documents reveal, comes from pagan religions and occultism and involves the Mason in oaths and rituals that are a blasphemy against the God of the Bible and are opposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. His exposure of false teachers and false doctrines is in our opinion, to be highly commended! Question: So many of the political leaders holding high office in our country are Masons that I wonder what role Masonry will play in the coming world government and religion. What do you think?

Answer: Masonry has all the elements of the coming ecumenical world religion, which will unite all religions. According to its own documents, it comes from pagan religions and occultism and involves the Mason in oaths and rituals which are a blasphemy against the God of the Bible and are opposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Masonry’s false gospel assures members that through good works and obedience to its tenets they will reach the Celestial Lodge in the Sky presided over by the G.A.O.T.U. (Great Architect of the Universe), which is “God as you conceive
him to be.”

Masonic authority Carl H. Claudy writes, “Masonry...requires merely that you believe in some deity, give him what name you will...any god will do, so he is your god” (Little Masonic Library, Macoy Publishing, 1977, 4:32). How is that for an ecumenical embrace of all religions!

In the initiation into the very first degree, the Lambskin represents “that purity of life and conduct which is necessary to obtain admittance into the Celestial Lodge above, where the Supreme Architect of the Universe presides.” In the 19th degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry the initiate is told that attachment to Masonry’s “statutes and rules of the order” will make him “deserving of entering the celestial Jerusalem [heaven].” In the 28th he is told that “the true Mason [is one] who raises himself by degrees till he reaches heaven” and that one of his duties is “To divest [him]self of original sin....”

One of the greatest authorities on Masonry was Albert Pike, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Southern Supreme Council of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in the U.S.A. and “an honorary member of almost every Supreme Council in the world” (Albert G. Mackey, 33rd degree, and Charles T. McClenachan, 33rd degree, Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, The Masonic History Company, 1921, rev ed, 2:564). He authored Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Supreme Council of the 33º, which was published by its authority. This compendium of official Masonic lore clearly traces Masonry to Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism and other Eastern religions. Albert G. Mackey, co-author of Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, is also one of Masonry’s highest authorities. In his Manual of the Lodge he traces Masonic teaching back to “the ancient rites and mysteries practiced in the very bosom of pagan darkness....” (Albert G. Mackey, Manual of the Lodge, Macoy and Sickles, 1802, p 96). At the heart of Masonry is a secret Luciferian doctrine which a Mason only comes to understand as he reaches the higher levels. Manly Palmer Hall, one of the greatest authorities on Masonry, writes, “When the Mason...has learned the mystery of his Craft, the seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands....” (Manly Palmer Hall, The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, p 48). The Apostle John warned that those who deny that Jesus is the only Christ and that He came once and for all in the flesh have embraced the spirit of Antichrist (1 Jn 4:1-3). That Jesus was not the Christ, but that He had attained to the state of “Christ consciousness” available to all mankind, is again part of Masonry: Jesus of Nazareth had attained a level of consciousness, of perfection, that has been called by various names: cosmic consciousness, soul regeneration, philosophic initiation, spiritual illumination, Brahmic Splendor, Christ-consciousness. (Lynn F. Perkins, The Meaning of Masonry, CSA Press, 1971, 53).

Masonry is a secretive anti-Christian cult: its members are told what to believe and must swear, on pain of death, never to reveal to anyone what goes on behind the Lodge doors. We accuse Masonry of exactly what it claims for itself: to become the world religion. We have previously quoted in a prior issue the prayer to which“Christian” Masons assent when entering the 31st degree of the Scottish Rite: “Hear us with indulgence, O infinite Deity....Let the great flood of Masonic light flow in a perpetual current over the whole world and make Masonry the creed of all mankind.” (Jay Blanchard, Scottish Rite Masonry Illustrated, Charles T. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (KJV)

The Masonic temple is a temple of Witchcraft! Satan veils within its symbols the deities and tools of Witchcraft! The square and compasses are representations of the generative organs . . . the "sacred altar" of Witchcraft! The blazing star at the center of the lodge is the Witch’s pentagram, symbol of the god of Satanism.

Masons admit that Baphomet is a pagan fertility god and, more importantly, that Freemasonry is a fertility cult religion.

Anyone who denies the fundamental doctrines of the Word of God, and teaches damnable heresies (2 Pet.2:1) is a deceiver. 1 John 2:22-23 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. [23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (KJV)

Muslims compleyely deny the Sonship of Jesus Christ; so, Islam is of the Devil. Islam is a damnable organization, who denies Jesus Christ. Do NOT believe the awful lie . . . that Muslims and Christians worship the SAME God. That is NOT true! The Koran clearly states in, The Women 4.171, that God has NO Son. . . which is in sharp contrast to John 3:16 in the Word of God that clearly states that God DOES indeed have a Son! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)

The Koran even claims that Jesus never died, nor was He crucified (The Women, 4.157). Clearly, Islam and Christianity are TOTALLY opposed. BUT . . . the Devil comes at us through MANY false prophets today, even President George W. Bush, who falsely claims that Christians and Muslims worship the SAME God. WRONG!!! Allah is a pagan god, who has NO son. Jesus Christ is Almighty God!

John 10:30 I and my Father are one. (KJV)

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (KJV) . . . Jesus is the second Person of the Godhead!

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (KJV) John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (KJV)

Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)

Jesus is the Christ. Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (KJV)

Jesus is the Son of God! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. (KJV) TRUE Christians believe this! BUT . . . multitudes of Muslims deny Jesus Christ as Saviour, thus, they are headed straight for Hell.

Satan is SO subtle! Very few people are aware of the true program of Freemasonry, including the members themselves. The fact that 75% of active masons never advance beyond the third level, in a system consisting of thirty-three degrees . . . PROVES the ignorance of the majority of members. The base of the pyramid is continually manipulated by the evil minority at the top. Unlike the other degrees in the Scottish Rite, the thirty-third degree CANNOT be earned; it can only be bestowed upon a member by the Supreme Council. SO . . . the Council has complete control of who becomes a member of the inner circle.

Freemason, H.L. Haywood, wrote in his book entitled GREAT TEACHINGS OF MASONRY: "Human experience ... is the one final authority in morals. Wrong is whatever hurts human life or destroys human happiness ... Acts are not right or wrong intrinsically but according as their effects are hurtful or helpful."

Again . . . this is in sharp contrast to the Bible which clearly defines sin, and states that ALL men are sinners (Romans 3:10,19-23). The Word of God is the Final Authority, NOT human experience.

1 Corinthians 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. (KJV)

Because so very few 'Masons' ever bother to investigate the contents of their Masonic Lodge Libraries, they have NO idea of the evil and perverted meanings of their symbols and rituals, as taught in Masonry's Higher Degrees.

Albert G. Mackey, a 33rd degree Mason, who spent thirty five years interpreting the degrees of Freemasonry, and author of an Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, wrote that it was right and necessary to lie to Blue Degree initiates. He said, "He is intentionally misled by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand, but it is intended that he shall imagine he understands. True understanding is reserved for the Adepts, the Princes of Masonry." Masonry's definition of truth originated with Satan in the garden of Eden.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (KJV)

A Mason is told in the first degree, that the meaning of the square is to square our actions; the compasses, to circumscribe and keep us within the bounds of all mankind, but more especially with a brother Mason.

BUT . . . the truth is, that Albert Mackey's definitive Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, reveals that the Square and Compasses are related to the "point within the circle," which he calls "an important and beautiful abstruse allusion to the old sun worship, introducing that adaptation of sun worship known among the ancients, as the worship of the phallus."

Mackey continues: "The phallus was a sculptured representation of the male organ of generation, and its worship in the ancient Mystery Religion, was adopted by the sun worshippers of old, and incorporated into the symbolism of Freemasonry."

SO . . . the central symbols of Freemasonry, represent the human reproductive organs! In obscure Freemasonry, the square is the symbol of the lingam (godforce in Witchcraft) and the compasses are the symbol of the female organs, called the yoni or shakti (goddess force) by Occultists.

The "Christian" (??) Mason is attending Lodge, and worshipping at an altar with symbols of the male and female organs entwined over an open Bible! What horrid and utter blasphemy!

"Another Gospel" (1 Cor.11:4) is legitimized by the participation of Christians (???) in Masonry. Famous Christian evangelist and author, Dr. John R. Rice, describes his experience with Masonry, as a young man. He was invited, by several very respected men in his church, to join the local chapter of the Masonic Lodge. The night of his initiation, he could not believe the horror of the obscene oath he was expected to repeat. He had the courage to denounce the entire proceedings and to walk out and never return. What a bold and RIGHT thing to do!

Luke 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it. (KJV) . . . A person CANNOT simply HEAR the Word of God. They must obey it!

Dr. John R. Rice tells of the Lodge Members he has known, who were blinded to their need for a "Saviour for forgiveness of sins" because of the gospel of "Works" taught in the Lodge, and the active participation of Christian Ministers, Elders, and Deacons in the Masons.

The following quote is from the Freemasons: "No one owns God, just as surely as no one owns "truth." Not one among us can be truly certain about the nature of God, so "Great Architect of the Universe" is a particularly apt reference to the Deity, as the reference acknowledges both the design and the designer without staking a claim on some exclusive jurisdiction. Deists, Christians - both Catholic and Protestant - Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and men of many other faiths have been welcomed into our Fraternity."

The preceding information might sound noble and convincing to the unlearned man who is IGNORANT of the Word of God; BUT, to the Christian who understands the clear teachings of the Bible, Freemasonry is of the Devil.

Freemasons Deny Jesus Christ as the ONLY Saviour!

Notice from the above quote, the words ... "Not one among us can be truly certain about the nature of God, so "Great Architect of the Universe" is a particularly apt reference to the Deity, as the reference acknowledges both the design and the designer without staking a claim on some exclusive jurisdiction. Deists, Christians - both Catholic and Protestant - Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and men of many other faiths have been welcomed into our Fraternity."

The Bible says: Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. [11] This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)

Just this Scripture Passage alone, eliminates 99% of this world's religions. There is "NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED." Salvation is found ONLY in the name of JESUS. Jesus stated: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) . . . Freemasons DENY Jesus' claim as sole Saviour of the human race. So, Freemasonry is opposed to the Word of God.

Freemasons are double talkers!

Freemasons lie when they claim to believe in one God. Either God has a Son or He does not. Either Jesus died on the cross or He did not. You CANNOT have it both ways. So, Freemasonry is a false religious cult, which sticks to the same New Age mentality that all roads lead to the light. Salvation is found ONLY in Christ Jesus according to the Bible! Anyone who teaches otherwise is a LIAR!

WHO is the God of the Bible?

Jesus Christ is the physical manifestation of the Godhead to mankind (Col.2:9). Jesus Christ came to this sin-cursed world as God Almighty incarnate (God in the flesh . . . 1 Tim.3:16).

Jesus is the Son of God, which means He can only be God Himself.

Jesus calls Himself "the Almighty" in Revelation 1:8.

Jesus claimed to be God in John 10:30.

John 1:1-3 declares that Jesus is the Living Word . . . God Almighty.

John 1:14 states that the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us.

Jesus is that Word that became flesh.

In Revelation 19:13, Jesus is called "The Word of God."

So, Jesus is the Living Word, and the Bible is the Written Word.

To learn the Truths of the Bible is to gain wisdom from the mind of God. There is NO knowledge of God that disagrees with His Holy Word!

John 17:17 declares that the Word of God is Truth.

John 14:6 declares that Jesus is the Truth.

The Word of God presents the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ crucified to the lost world.

Romans 3:10,23 proclaims that ALL mankind are sinners.

Romans 6:23 declares that our sin makes us worthy of the death penalty.

Revelation 20:11-15 warns that all who die in their sins without Christ as Saviour will burn in the Lake of fire forever.

We are eternally blessed, because, Jesus loved us enough to die on the cross for our sins (Romans 5:8). Jesus paid for our sins with His own precious Blood (1 Peter 1:18-19). It is ONLY Jesus' precious Blood that takes our sins away (Col.1:14).

The Biblical plan of redemption for mankind is quite simple. All we have to do to be saved is believe on Christ and His Work on the cross. To believe is to trust . . . to completely rely upon. We must forsake . . . cast aside . . . trusting any and all self-righteousness, good works, religious ceremonies, baptism, holy communion, the sacraments, prayers, etc, etc, etc. . . . for NONE of self things will ever get us to Heaven. We CANNOT save our self! Only Jesus can save us! Trusting self and religion are sure roads to Hell. All we need to do is trust the wonderful Saviour who gave His life for us. Jesus is more, MUCH more than just a Prophet, Priest, and King! He is Almighty God! Jesus is seated on the right-hand of God the Father in Heaven. Jesus is Almighty God! That is WHO Jesus is! If you want to know God, if you want to go to Heaven, you MUST come to Him through Jesus, His Son. There is absolutely NO other way! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

If you truly want to be God's child, you MUST trust and believe the Lord Jesus Christ is your personal Saviour and Lord. Only then will His Spirit dwell within you.
