Final Destinations of Muslims
Muslims believe their final destination depends on what they worked towards in this life.
Jannah, is an eternal place for Muslims, and is their idea of paradise. The Arabic word Jannah is a shortened version which means garden. According to Islam religion, after death, one will reside in the grave until the appointed resurrection on Yawm al-Qiyāmah.
Muslims believe that their final destination is the life of the Hereafter . . . and is where they end up, Jannah (Paradise) or Jahannam (Hell-fire). Paradise is the aim and the hope of every Muslim. But reaching Paradise, is like trying to attain any goal, and in order to achieve success, there must be a well-defined plan which must be fulfilled to be successful.
Hell according to Islam is a purifying place that Allah will use for punishing those whom he wills for their sins, and to purify all of those who are badly corrupted by Satan's dirt from temptations and evil intentions toward others such as envy, insolence and other evil things.
All of those who will enter Paradise shall be purified. Islam’s hell sounds like the false doctrine of the Catholic purgatory. http://www.hisservants.org/w_what_is_purgatory.htm
Even though each Muslim will be rewarded a certain level in Paradise, everyone will be able to communicate with the others who make it there. The people in Paradise will be like one big happy family, with different things for each person. Allah promised the believers that they will be reunited with their believing families in Paradise. [52.20] Reclining on thrones set in lines, and We will unite them to large-eyed beautiful ones. [52.21] And (as for) those who believe and their offspring follow them in faith, We will unite with them their offspring and We will not diminish to them aught of their work; every man is responsible for what he shall have wrought. . . . It seems that even though the winners of Paradise will be arranged in ranks, with the 500 different levels of Paradise, they will still be joined with their families and loved ones.
Angels, jinns, humans and the servants and houris (heavenly maidens) of Paradise will live there. All inhabitants of Heaven will be able to communicate with each other, whether they are jinns with humans or humans with angels or jinns with angels. Since each one of these is created differently from the others, there will be limitations to some of the communication there such as marriage and sex. Humans can't marry or have sex with the angels or the jinns, and vice versa. Each human in Paradise will have his own world, with lofty mansions, beautiful nature, great food; plenty of tasty meat, fruits, vegetables, rivers of honey and milk, and other great gifts of anything he desires from Allah. Heaven will be the home of peace. Not evil of any kind will exist in it.
Heaven is the Home of Peace where the winners of Paradise will live in peace and harmony with each other and with Allah. He will remove all evil from their hearts and purify them.
[5.35] O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and seek means of nearness to Him and strive hard in His way that you may be successful.
[17.19] And whoever desires the hereafter and strives for it as he ought to strive and he is a believer; (as for) these, their striving shall surely be accepted.
[38.51] Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink.
[39.20] But (as for) those who are careful of (their duty to) their Lord, they shall have high places, above them higher places, built (for them), beneath which flow rivers; (this is) the promise of Allah: Allah will not fail in (His) promise.
[47.1] (As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, He shall render their works ineffective.
[47.6] And cause them to enter the garden which He has made known to them.
[47.15] A parable of the garden which those guarding (against evil) are promised: Therein are rivers of water that does not alter, and rivers of milk the taste whereof does not change, and rivers of drink delicious to those who drink, and rivers of honey clarified and for them therein are all fruits and protection from their Lord. (Are these) like those who abide in the fire and who are made to drink boiling water so it rends their bowels asunder.
[52.19] Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did,
[52.20] Reclining on thrones set in lines, and We will unite them to large-eyed beautiful ones.
[52.21] And (as for) those who believe and their offspring follow them in faith, We will unite with them their offspring and We will not diminish to them aught of their work; every man is responsible for what he shall have wrought.
[52.22] And We will aid them with fruit and flesh such as they desire.
[76.12] And reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk,
[76.13] Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither (the severe heat of) the sun nor intense cold.
[76.14] And close down upon them (shall be) its shadows, and its fruits shall be made near (to them), being easy to reach.
[76.15] And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets which are of glass,
[76.16] (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure.
[76.17] And they shall be made to drink therein a cup the admixture of which shall be ginger,
[76.18] (Of) a fountain therein which is named Salsabil.
[76.19] And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls.
[76.20] And when you see there, you shall see blessings and a great kingdom.
[76.21] Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and thick silk interwoven with gold, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall make them drink a pure drink.
Jahannam is the Muslim name for hell (or the different gates of hell), others occurring in the Quran include: an-Nar ("The Fire"), Jaheem ("Blazing Fire"), Hatamah ("That which Breaks to Pieces"), Haawiyah ("The Abyss"), Ladthaa, Sa’eer ("The Blaze"), Saqar. The hadith of Islamic prophet Muhammad, and some writings of later Islamic scholars also describe Jahannam.
Hell in the Quran:
[2.24] But if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers.
[2.161] Surely those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, these it is on whom is the curse of Allah and the angels and men all; [2.162] Abiding in it; their chastisement shall not be lightened nor shall they be given respite.
[2.167] And those who followed shall say: Had there been for us a return, then we would renounce them as they have renounced us. Thus will Allah show them their deeds to be intense regret to them, and they shall not come forth from the fire. [2.168] O men! eat the lawful and good things out of what is in the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of the Shaitan; surely he is your open enemy.
[4.52] Those are they whom Allah has cursed, and whomever Allah curses you shall not find any helper for him.
[4.55] So of them is he who believes in him, and of them is he who turns away from him, and hell is sufficient to burn. [4.56] (As for) those who disbelieve in Our communications, We shall make them enter fire; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We will change them for other skins, that they may taste the chastisement; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise.
[4.94] O you who believe! when you go to war in Allah's way, make investigation, and do not say to any one who offers you peace: You are not a believer. Do you seek goods of this world's life! But with Allah there are abundant gains; you too were such before, then Allah conferred a benefit on you; therefore make investigation; surely Allah is aware of what you do.;
[4.145] Surely the hypocrites are in the lowest stage of the fire and you shall not find a helper for them.
[5.36] Surely (as for) those who disbelieve, even if they had what is in the earth, all of it, and the like of it with it, that they might ransom themselves with it from the punishment of the day of resurrection, it shall not be accepted from them, and they shall have a painful punishment.
[5.37] They would desire to go forth from the fire, and they shall not go forth from it, and they shall have a lasting punishment.
[15.42] Surely. as regards My servants, you have no authority ,over them except those who follow you of the deviators. [15.43] And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: [15.44] It has seven gates; for every gate there shall be a separate party of them.
[22.19] These are two adversaries who dispute about their Lord; then (as to) those who disbelieve, for them are cut out garments of fire, boiling water shall be poured over their heads.
[22.20] With it shall be melted what is in their bellies and (their) skins as well. [22.21] And for them are whips of iron. [22.22] Whenever they will desire to go forth from it, from grief, they shall be turned back into it, and taste the chastisement of burning.
[37.62] Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? [37.63] Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. [37.64] Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell;
[37.65] Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. [37.66] Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. [37.67] Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. [37.68] Then most surely their return shall be to hell.
[39.60] And on the day of resurrection you shall see those who lied against Allah; their faces shall be blackened. Is there not in hell an abode for the proud? [39.61] And Allah shall deliver those who guard (against evil) with their achievement; evil shall not touch them, nor shall they grieve.
[74.35] Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), [74.42] What has brought you into hell? [74.43] They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; [74.44] And we used not to feed the poor; [74.45] And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. [74.46] And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; [74.47] Till death overtook us. [74.48] So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them.
