Welcome to our website
Nearer My God to Me . . .
America Is NOT As Near As She Should Be!
Have you ever considered the God in the Old Testament? God’s smiting was indeed very simple.
God smote the Israelites with venomous snakes, and many of the were bitten and died (Deut.32:24). God smote and the people trembled, and sometimes died. He smote the rebellious Israelites, and thousands died. He smote the Philistines, and they got hemorrhoids (1 Sam.5:1-6).
God smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the Ark of the LORD (1Sam.6:19), He smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.
The angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. (2Ki 19:35).
And what about the Sodomites? The Sodomites suffered a specific smiting. The men of Sodom were extremely wicked sinners before the LORD. So, God rained fire and brimstone upon Sodom (Gen.19:24-29).
Our Creator made His point very clear in the Old Testament! In today's world, most people would think that there is no such thing as a God who would smite anyone. Does that mean He is no longer capable to do this? NO, NO, NO! God is absolutely capable to bring judgment (smite) people if and when He so desires! And dear one, He does “smite” people at times: forest fires, tornadoes, floods, drought, and Covid! So, do NOT think God has changed His tactics. IF He desires to ‘smite’ . . . He certainly can and will smite people in today’s times, IF it is His will, whether people believe it or not!
Malachi 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts. (KJV)
God will bring judgment down on ALL sinners. He will be a willing witness against ALL who practice witchcraft, and adulterers, liars and those who cheat employees of their wages, those who oppress widows and orphans, or who deprive the foreigners living among you of justice, and those who do not reverence and respect Him. It was through mixed marriages, marrying heathen and pagan women who worshiped idols; their sorcery, that the occult of demon worship was brought in.
Millions are turning to the occult today. And too, the people were NOT a witness for God, then or now! The stranger in that day, to whom they should have witnessed, actually turned from God because of the way He was treated by His own people. What about today? I had one lady in class years ago that said: “You can’t go to church on Sunday and live like the devil the rest of the week.” You cannot profess to be a Christian, if you don’t walk in His Light and Spirit (Gal.5:16,25). TRUE believers are not hypocrites.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (KJV)
God is a God of judgment, yes, but He is also a gracious (loving and merciful) God. The only reason these people had not been absolutely wiped out like the Edomites was because of His grace. God was gracious to Israel, His chosen people (Ex.19:5; Deut.14:2; 26:18). He is still gracious to them, and us, because He never changes. Thank God for that.
But God today, as then, is still a God of judgment. His judgment will fall on ALL evildoers. But His grace has NOT changed either, and that is a comfort to anyone who will accept the amazing grace of God. No matter what a person has done in the past, no matter how evil it was, God can and will forgive them IF they sincerely repent (turn away from) their sin, and TO God. His loving and merciful arms are outstretched in your direction, no matter who you are! Red, yellow, black or white, Jew or Gentile; God can be merciful to you, IF you let Him! Leave your sin, forsake it, go to God! The faster the better!
What Has America
Brought on Themselves?
God is indeed eclipsed (hidden), and in His place, people have substituted many other gods (idols). People today are into being spiritual; they pick and choose what they believe about God, not what the Bible states! In today’s world, it is a virtual smorgasbord of unending religious options. As each person passes through the buffet, they might choose something very different than their friends, and almost certainly their spiritual menu will be quite different than that of their parents. A god suitable for who they are and who they want to become.
Spirituality is religion without God; it is self-acceptance without confronting sin; it is self-redemption without the need for Christ. It is words without meaning and experience without substance. And it is the hypocrisy of religion without having to believe anything that is truth. In short, it is atheism without the shame and self-exaltation concealed behind being ridiculous.
Lesson For America . . .
Where does this leave us as a nation?
#1. Without God as Creator, people can abandon the Created order of reality and make it into whatever they'd like. Men can be women, women can be fathers, and children can be taught in the earliest years to question their gender. They call genital mutilation gender affirmation. And as they lesson human life, the right to die soon becomes the buden to die.
#2. Without God as the standard for truth, falsehood can be truth. Even when the Constitution is read, many do NOT view it correctly; but instead as a “living document.” A living document, also known as an evergreen document or dynamic document, is a document that is continually edited and updated. Its meaning depends on what people WANT to see in it. So, the Constitution is whatever people want it to say. Ridiculous!
#3. Without God as Lawgiver, pre-born infants can be shamelessly killed, and anyone trying to counsel children about the dangers of transgender surgery can be prosecuted. Criminals can be defended, and victims left to fend for themselves. Pedophilia can be regulated. Evil can be called good and good can be called evil.
#4. Without God as Redeemer, there would be no one to forgive our sins. But . . . it seems most people have no concern as to their sins being forgiven.
#5. Without God as Judge, Satan would be happy to have us all go to his eternal home in the pits of Hell.
Clearly, when God hides Himself (eclipse of God) it brings on some horrible things: a darkness that has no boundaries, a darkness that produces more evil, and a darkness that people think can justify being ludicrous in every way. SO . . . . instead of ordered liberty, there is the callous quest for power and deception becomes common and evil grows like there is no tomorrow.
Do you think that God will someday judge America? Dear one . . . He is doing that right NOW! Three times in Romans Chapter 1, it states that God “gave them up” referring to people who rejoice in unnatural and perverse sexual activity. But please consider, He gave them up to this depravity; and this means God’s judgment has led to America's depravity. SO . . . God “gave them up” to do what we see every day on the news. . . . . . . https://godcannotlie.org/book_of_romans_ch.1.htm
Where does this leave us as believers?
We have the privilege (and obligation) of shedding light in the fast growing darkness. Intentionally, in John’s vision of Jesus, our Lord is seen walking among the seven lampstands which represent the seven churches. If our light flickers, if we find that the winds of culture have blown out our lampstand, we have nothing to say to this generation.
Without a prodding from God, we will simply give this generation whatever it wants. We will accept the eclipse for what it is and hide in our small corner. Dear one, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to misery and the other one to utter hopelessness. Let us have the wisdom to choose correctly. As a nation we are at that crossroads! Do we believe in God and know that history will unfold according to His plan?
We must be bold, courageous and loving, but we must also be sensitive. We must desperately cling to the Gospel, sharing the redemption of Christ with as many as will listen to us. We must point people to the Light of the World (John 8:12) and be willing to suffer the consequences of our identifing ourselves with the One who died that we might have life. Are YOU ready to do this? If you are a TRUE Christian, this is what you must do. https://www.godcannotlie.org/true_children_of_god.htm
We must remember that the sun is still shining behind the eclipse. Psalm 80:3 Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. (KJV)
Faithful is He who calls you, Who also will do it.
AMERICA . . . Do You KNOW the Trouble You Are In?
