False Teaching

Letter to a Local Church

Teaching falsely has always been one of my worst fears because of the following verse. James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. (KJV) . . . I am terrified of teaching something falsely, but I am more terrified of disobeying my Saviour and Lord! I feel that ALL TRUE Christians are "watchmen" on the wall . . . and it is our DUTY to bring to light any false doctrines we come across, and expose those people who spout them . . . OR we will regret it. Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. (KJV)

WHY am I so against false teachers? Because they false give hope to people! They give "Christianity" a bad name. I research these people and bring to light in our web sites their errors. I try to show how they are WRONG according to God's Holy Word. I realize that I will be hated by many because of this, but they hated Jesus too.

A while back, I wrote a letter to a pastor at a local Baptist Church. The signs along the road by their church really disturbed me, as I pass there every week. My letter to the pastor raised absolutely NO response whatsoever. Below is the letter I sent to him/her.

Open Letter to Local Church

First sign.

“God is not angry” . . . SO untrue!

Your signs along the road are completely deceiving. God certainly is NOT happy with you for leading people astray. I have been in disobedience to God about this for quite some time. He has good reason to be angry with me. I did not want to “butt in.” But the Holy Spirit will not let me rest any more. I must speak out.
You are WRONG in placing such deceptive signs in front of your church. I have known several people who have stopped going to your church. The signs and your teachings were behind their leaving. I don’t know exactly WHAT you are teaching, but I do know that most churches today preach and teach only what people WANT to hear . . . NOT what they NEED to hear!

2 Tim. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (KJV) . . . The time is here!
Isaiah 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: (KJV) . . . Times haven’t changed much.

As I said, I do not know what you are preaching, but those deceptive signs will discourage someone who really knows the Word of God from entering.
I am sure that what I have to say, will be quickly discarded. But, I have to finally obey God, in what I should have done a long time ago.

God IS Angry! And He has good reason!

Psalm 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. (KJV)

Psalm 78:58 For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images. (KJV)

Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. (KJV)

Isaiah 30:30 And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. (KJV)

Ezekiel 7:3 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. (KJV)

Jeremiah 10:10 But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. (KJV)

Nahum 1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. (KJV)

Psalm 21:9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. (KJV)

2 Thes.1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (KJV) . . . God really has to be angry to send someone to Hell!

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (KJV) . . . God is absolutely angry with anyone who commit fornication and the abominable (Lev.18:22; 20:13) sin of sodomy!

Rev. 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (KJV) . . . NO sinner shall be able to stand before His righteous wrath!

Isaiah 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. (KJV) . . . God is VERY angry with sin!

Jeremiah 21:14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the Lord: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. (KJV) . . . God allows natural disasters because of His anger!

Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, (KJV) . . . God does get angry, and has good cause!

Col. 3:5-11 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: [6] For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: [7] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. [8] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. [9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; [10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: [11] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. (KJV) . . . For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Earthquakes

Psalm 18:7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. (KJV) . . . He was wroth!
Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. (KJV) . . . His fierce anger!

Volcanoes

Nahum 1:5-6 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. [6] Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. (KJV) . . . His indignation! The fierceness of his anger! Also: Deut. 4:11; Deut. 5:23; Judges 5:5; Psalm 97:5; Psalm 104:32; Psalm 144:5; Isaiah 34:9-10; Isaiah 64:1-3; Jeremiah 51:25; Mic.1:4.

Matthew 24:7-8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. (KJV) . . . The hurricanes in the USA, the tsunamis overseas, the volcanoes, earthquakes, drought one place, floods another??? Do you not think that the natural disasters throughout the world are not coming from God’s anger? You are WRONG! You are leading people astray with your signs.

Matthew 24:11-12 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (KJV) . . . It’s happening! I hope you are not one of them!

Second Sign

“God is for you” . . . ONLY if you are His true child!

Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. . . . (KJV) . . . God is AGAINST unbelievers and workers of iniquity. It’s against His character!

Psalm 11:5 The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. (KJV) . . . God is AGAINST anyone who loves violence!

Psalm 32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about. (KJV) . . . God’s mercy is not FOR the wicked!

Proverbs 29:16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. (KJV) . . . God hates sin. God is certainly not FOR the wicked!

Malachi 3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. (KJV) . . . God is FOR the righteous, but AGAINST the wicked!

Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. (KJV) . . . God is AGAINST the goats!

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.(KJV) . . . God is FOR the righteous but AGAINST the wicked!

John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. (KJV) . . . God is AGAINST those in the resurrection of the damnation.

Romans 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; (KJV) . . . God is NOT FOR anyone who does evil!

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. (KJV) . . . God is AGAINST them that do evil!

Rev. 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. (KJV) . . . God is AGAINST all the above!

Third sign

“God is on your side” . . . ONLY if Jesus made you God’s child!

All the Passages below clearly state God is on your side IF you are His TRUE child!

Psalm 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. (KJV)

Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. (KJV)

Psalm 11:6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. (KJV)

Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV)

Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (KJV)

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (KJV)

Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;(KJV)

Matthew 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,(KJV)

Matthew 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (KJV)

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.(KJV)

Matthew 24:40-42 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [41] Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [42] Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. (KJV)

Fourth sign

“God has made peace with you” . . . absolutely . . .
IF . . . you have accepted Christ as your Saviour and Lord

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV) . . . Only if we are justified by faith in Christ Jesus can we ever dare to hope for peace with God! Without Jesus . . . we are God’s enemies! (Rom.5:10)

Ephes. 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (KJV) . . . JESUS is our Peace! God will NOT make peace with anyone who is a Christ rejecter!

Ephes. 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (KJV) . . . Only Christ can destroy the barriers between people and God. God will NOT make peace with anyone unless they have accepted Jesus.

Col. 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (KJV) . . . Christ’s death made a Way to clear away the sin that keeps us from having a right relationship with God. BUT, not everyone takes advantage of God’s Way of salvation. We can have peace with God and be reconciled to Him ONLY by accepting Christ, who died in our place. You must accept Christ as your Saviour!

Fifth sign

“God has plans for you” . . . this one is true! He has plans for the righteous to go to Heaven . . . and the wicked to go to Hell!

HEAVEN

John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (KJV)

1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (KJV)

Rev. 7:16-17 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. [17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (KJV)

HELL

Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (KJV)

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (KJV)

Rev. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (KJV)

Rev. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (KJV)

2 Peter 2:4-6 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; [5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; [6] And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; (KJV)

Proverbs 15:24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. (KJV) . . . A righteous person sets his affections on things above; the narrow path he walks leads directly there. But an unbeliever (wicked person in God’s eyes) stays on the broad road to Hell.

I feel sure you will never make it as far as this. Most churches and pastors do NOT like to be rebuked. But my friends, those signs are sending a very deceiving message to vulnerable souls.

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (KJV)

I sent this letter on December 03, 2008. I never received an answer, but that did not surprise me. I still pass by those signs often and they torture my soul. SO deceptive! I am quite sure this article on the internet will not make any change in those signs, just as the letter to the pastor did not make any changes. Satan is strong! But just maybe, some gullible soul will read this and decide that maybe those signs . . . or others like them, are WRONG! I am sure that this church is not the only one with deceiving words trying to get people to attend a seeker friendly congregation. . . . BEWARE People!!!

BEWARE! False teachers can and will lead you to an ETERNAL HELL!
