Benny Hinn

Benny Hinn said, "God came from heaven, became a man, made man into little gods, went back to heaven as a man. He faces the Father as a man. I face devils as the son of God...Quit your nonsense! What else are you? If you say, I am, you’re saying I’m a part of Him, right? Is he God? Are you His offspring? Are you His children? You can’t be human! You can’t! You can’t! God didn’t give birth to flesh…You said, "Well, that’s heresy." No, that’s your crazy brain saying that." (Benny Hinn, Our Position in Christ #2—The Word Made Flesh (Orlando: Orlando Christian Center, 1991), videotape #255.

Hinn is clearly guilty of teaching "revelation knowledge" (God's Truth imparted to him personally), something that is NOT supported by Scripture. Because of this, he has established in the minds of those who trust him, a personal belief as if it were authoritative truth, which it is not.

Jesus Took On Satan's Nature??

One of the popular word-faith teachings is that Jesus took on the nature of Satan and had to be born again. This doctrine is intrinsically linked to the "Jesus died spiritually" heresy which postulates that Jesus' shed blood was insufficient for the redemption of man; He had to suffer at Satan's hands in Hell and be born again as the first man to conquer death.

Hinn also teaches this heresy: "He [Jesus] who is righteous by choice said, 'The only way I can stop sin is by Me becoming it. I can't just stop it by letting it touch Me; I and it must become one.' Hear this! He who is the nature of God became the nature of Satan where He became sin!" (TBN, 12/1/90).

In this brief statement, Benny Hinn conveys three absolute falsehoods about Jesus:

Jesus is not righteous by choice, but by nature;
Jesus never spoke those words; NOT in the Bible, NOT to Benny Hinn personally, because they are NOT Biblical; and
Jesus' nature is ever constant; God CANNOT and does NOT change His nature from God to something else.

The word-faith message teaches much more than the "you name it and you claim it" stupidity! It is in itself, linked to the God-man-believer and Jesus-died-spiritually doctrines of apostasy, which Hinn continues to embrace. It exalts man and ridicules Christ, as most false teachings do.

Being "slain in the Spirit" is a common thing in modern charismatic churches. I have a difficult time believing any of this! I believe that IF there is any power transmitted by Benny Hinn, it is NOT of God, it is of the devil!

Hinn's errors are compounded by his continual praising of the virtues of the pope and Roman Catholicism.

LOURDES AND FATIMA ENDORSED BY HINN

Faith healer Benny Hinn has spawned more confusion in the last decade than most preachers in recent history. Perhaps his insistence on advocating strange things stems from his own confusion or his desire to play to a larger constituency. Perhaps it is both.
Hinn appeared on the April 23 Larry King Live. King challenged him as to why he doesn’t go from “bed to bed” in hospitals with his healing power. (Excellent question!!!) Hinn indicated that he does visit hospitals and when he prayed for people, there were some who were healed but others who were not. He then offered King this explanation as to his mixed results: “But, you see, the gift does not work when you want it to work. The anointing must be there.”

The driving force of his ministry then came to light as he told King: “In a crusade — in a meeting when I am ministering, the anointing of God comes on me and that’s when things happen.” Yet all of this begs the question: Why would the Holy Spirit limit Himself to work in power in only emotionally charged meetings? Hinn would have us believe that the anointing comes and goes but mostly comes in arenas and convention centers.

What about this? 1 John 2:27-A The anointing which you have received from Him abides in you . . . .(KJV) Hinn then endorsed the reputed divine healing power of the Marian shrines at Lourdes and Fatima. He told King and the viewing audience: “Look, God has given us, Larry, many sources of healing. Look at Lourdes. People have been healed going to Lourdes and Fatima. There was a pool, even in the Bible, the pool of Bethesda, where the angels stirred the water — people were also healed. So God has given us many avenues of healing. He wants us to be healed.”

How can Benny Hinn put these two unscriptural shrines in the same category as a biblical event? Please consider that in the incident in John 5, the man was healed by Jesus.

John 5:12-13 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? [13] And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. (KJV) . . . Bethesda is not mentioned again after this. There is a world of difference between what Lourdes and Fatima are promoting and the Jewish pool of John 5. The message of both Lourdes and Fatima are messages supposedly from the Virgin Mary promoting veneration and prayers to her. IDOLATRY!!!

In the Catholic Almanac under “Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary” it states that in Fatima, Portugal, “Mary appeared six times between May 13 and Oct. 13, 1917, to three children in a field called Cova da Iria near Fatima, north of Lisbon. She recommended frequent recitation of the Rosary.” According to our precious Saviour and Lord, Christ Jesus, we are NOT to repeat prayers over and over! Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (KJV) Just who are you going to listen to? The Catholics? Or JESUS???

Many people do not realize that in the Rosary a person prays to Mary, NOT GOD! “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.” FIRST: NO one is "holy" except Almighty God! SECOND: There is only one Mediator for sinners. 1 Tim. 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV) And THIRD: there is only One who can deal with our sins, that being our Lord Jesus Christ!

2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (KJV)

1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (KJV) JUST JESUS! NOT His mother!

The Catholic Almanac also states that Mary urged “works of mortification for the conversion of sinners; called for devotion to herself under the title of the Immaculate Heart.” Can our works of mortification convert sinners? NO WAY!!!

Christ commanded us to preach the Gospel to every creature! Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (KJV)

It is NOT our suffering, it is NOT our sacrifice that brings conversion to others. It is the preaching of HIS suffering and HIS Sacrifice and a sinners’ willing response to the ONLY Saviour (John 1:12). It is ONLY the Gospel that has the “power of God unto Salvation” (Rom.1:16). Fatima’s message is in TOTAL contradiction to the Gospel of Christ and what the Bible has to say!!!

What about Lourdes? Hinn must approve of it as well. Lourdes is simply the French version of Fatima. The Catholic Almanac also gives its history: “Mary, identifying herself as the Immaculate Conception appeared 18 times between Feb. 11 and July 16, 1858, to 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous at the grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes in southern France. Her message concerned the necessity of prayer and penance for the conversion of men.”

Benny Hinn was a disciple of the false teacher Kathryn Khulman and teaches the false doctrines that she taught. He has taken on other false teachings from Kenny Copeland and Ken Hagin who picked up the heretical Mormon doctrine that all men can become a god. He also teaches the heretical doctrine that Jesus Christ was born again in Hell. He is a leading "word of faith" false teacher who is NOT born from above and headed straight to Hell! Benny Hinn is one of the most sought after false teachers today. He falsely predicted that all the homosexuals in America would die by fire in the late 1990's, and he teaches the damnable word-faith doctrine. Some of the stuff I have read that he has said makes me sick! It is sin to even print it.
